Void deflector best melee?

Full prayer void with deflector & barrows gloves - is that the best strength bonus you can get in game?

Depends on the weapon. Bandos is better for rapier I think according to tipit calc.

Im not sure if the Tip.it calculator includes the attack bonus. 10% more attack levels is equviliant (or how its spelled) to pretty lots of attack bonuses. I would say Void Melee Void.

I'm not 100% certain but I believe that with the bonuses, void mellee + deflector is best against low def monsters but less effective against higher def ones where bandos rates better.

 

This of course assumes that you're not taking damage.

No, if void melee gives accuracy then it would be better then bandos against high defense monsters as bandos only gives a strength bonus and no attack bonus.

He'd be protect praying I suppose. Deflects help killing faster, too (in theory) so you may want to drain your defence level.

 

IMO, void > bandos, as far as I know void has higher dps. Your max with void would be 617, with bandos 599 (assuming max str gear, extremer str, turm, 99 str). The void setup comes with 15 prayer bonus, the bandos setup with 12.

Fire cape :). +15 prayer is probably quite enough with the bank that close. I suppose you could go for ardy 3 (+4 prayer, +5 atk, -4 str) or sw cape (+10 prayer, -1 atk, -4 str).

Hmm true. I just tend to wear SW cape for pray intensive (pro melee + turmoil) tasks with low defence. (and ardy cloak for high defence tasks)

I suggest a fire cape because strength bonus affects void dps more. Looking at fire cape vs. sw cape, void max hit is 13 lower, bandos max hit is 11 lower. The more gear boosts you lack (berserker (i), fire cape) the better bandos becomes. The difference starts out at 18, and decreases to 14 with 10 less str bonus on both setups. For 20 str bonus lost, the difference is 12; for 30 str bonus lost 9; for 40 str bonus lost 6; for 50 str bonus lost 3, and for 60 str bonus lost, 1. All in favour of void. Though the last void setup has only 77 strength bonus, you'd have to be using dds or something. With just the +14 str bonus of defender + bandos + neitiznot, void hits 20 lower (with a max hit of 200).

 

tl;dr use void.
