Grimy_Bunyip
Just coming back into RS - Currently sitting @ 73 fishing I believe... What's the fastest way to get fishing exp @ my lvl? Thanks ;))I highly recommend you learn and do a minigame called fish flingers. It's a minigame that you can only play once every 90 minutes, and lasts 15 minutes. But the xp is well worth the time.the xp reward for the minigame is strange in that it gives more fishing xp if your fishing level is lower! And you have a rather low fishing level so you'll benefit a lot.Check it out, and make sure you use a Clan chat when you play it such as "fish fling1" Anywhoo in terms of raw fishing xp at your level:barbarian drop fishing is the fastest way, but it's a lot of clicking. It's different from normal fly fishing in that you need to go to otto's hut @ the baxtorian waterfall to do it, and use the heavy fishing rod under otto's bed. each time you catch a fish, you need to drop it (or alch it) then click the fishing spot again. You can further boost your xp rate by using a fishing summon (such as a granite crab/lobster) I'm personally waiting for an incoming Juju potion update, as it seems like these new Juju potions are meant to boost the xp rates of noncombat skills, such as fishing. GibberEsh
No, fish flinger fishermen appear at Shilo Village, Barbarian Village, Piscatoris, Catherby, and Fishing Guild every 90 minutes. The easiest way would just to use a skills necklace and tele to fish guild on w77, where you should join "fish fling1". It can be a bit confusing at first so just read a general guide about on here on tipit/rs wiki. Best part about it is that it's pretty much 15 mins of afking fishing without needing to drop or bank but for some reason, as mentioned above, exp drops as you get higher leveled.. monkfish are good for fast exp. not sure if it is fastest then fly fishing in shilo. Think like monkfish is ~30-35k xp/hour and a pitiful amount of money. Not sure on exp on fly fishing but it should definitely be higher than monkfish. Troacctid
Monkfish are more efficient than heavy rod fishing if you value your time at less than about 300-400k gp/hr, but that also assumes that the agility and strength xp have no value, so the actual number is lower. In any case, you'd have to be very poor in order for monkfish to be worthwhile. Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP

Vex
Just going to give some feedback on this topic. I just tried fish flingers out and i highly recommend it using cc "fish fling1"Took me 1 game to understand what was going on and what the chat commands meant. You basically get all 6 fish correct within the first 5minutes, then spend the next 10 at just one spot accumulating fish/points. With no need to click or anything. You can do this D&D 10 times a week. So at my level (81) I can receive around 18k xp per game, so 180,000 fishing xp per week for MINIMAL effort. Highly recommend  http://www.[Caution! Jagex Rule Violation].com
