The Most Profitable/Efficient Way of Killing Tormented Demons?

3) Armour; void vs. e.g. dragonhide

4) (familiars won't be covered as steel titan is obviously the best familiar for profit @ TDs, but please assume that the person is killing using a unicorn)

5) Anything else? What spot you use? Luring?

Mmm, well, if your using extremes or overloads, with maxed stats, then Karils > Void I'd say. You'll probably be switching weapons too often for the void effect to be worth it; switching out helms constantly AND weapons would probably be too much of a pain. Um, pretty sure handcannon is the best to kill them with, if your willing to spend the money. With max range and extreme range, it should be worth it as long as your firemaking is high. Um, overloads, I don't think it'd be worth it unless you were using steel titan, and brews to heal. I think. As for chaotic, I've heard that one of the few places Longsword might best Rapier is TD's. Can't help you there.

 

Keep in mind I have next-to-none experience at TD's with all this maxed elite stuff. Killing, yes, with ovls, chaotics, etc, no.

on point 1, assuming you are using the steel titan, you won't be able to heal through the unicorn, which means you will have to bring an alternative source of food. overloads and brews are the obvious choice here, as it condenses the most healing into one inventory spot

 

 

another point i'd like to discuss... prayers vs curses. i personally use prayers when not using titan, and curses when i am.

barrows glove with deflector for two reasons:

 

1) for melee, basically you trade 6-8 attack (depending on style) for 7 strength - totally worth it

2) you also get the 12 ranged accuracy, whereas defender doesn't help ranged at all

 

if you don't use steel titan, i think i'd take dhide/karil's top w/ deflector since ranged is the slowest part of the kill w/o titan

Well, if I don't use a steel titan, wouldn't a maul be better, by the way (as it can hit high over the prayer-switching when you hit 350)? Or would the speed of the rapier beat it? I personally tried using a rapier for TDs, and I hated it (I have both maul and rapier). I'm decent @ switching. If using a maul, I can switch weapons, helm and prayer every different attack style, but when using a rapier, only the helms (as it's too quick).

you would bring gloves for use with claws. korasi is underwhelming at tds since it's multi.

if you can't switch weapon and helm in a 4-tick round, that means you aren't good at switching. either get better (and use the xp counter if you aren't already #-o ) or use maul (which is inferior unless you aren't good at switching)

I said I CAN switch weapon, helm & prayer (i.e. everything) when using maul, but if using rapier, only one of those because it gets too tiring and I mess up lol

 

And yes, I do use the XP counter and switch @ every 165 XP obtained... Everytime I hit 0, I subtract 10 XP
