Frzphnx
Note: Not sure if this is the best place for this. Greetings! After a several year hiatus (occasionally logging in on holidays), I was wondering if there were any general suggestions on easing back into the game. I've always been free to play, and I feel that I fall into the category of average player. I'm not particularly wealthy aside from a Santa I picked up years ago and 2m ish in coins. All skills are trained, but nothing really high (73 combat). I'm not really sure what to look for at the present, but I feel like I have caught up with the changes which took place during my absence, and I guess I'm curious what mid level people like me do these days. I've started to dungeon, but I'm not sure if that's what I really want to be doing (though I will admit the rewards are spiffy). I'd like to think I can hold my own to some extent in combat, but I'm not really specced for pvp. I apologize for the lack of specifics, and would be happy to provide more information if needed. Quyneax
Welcome back. I recommend members. I don't have a clue what an 'average player' would do but I imagine earning money and levelling to become an elite player is pretty common :P. Dungeoneering is a good thing to do before you reach 90 combat, as at that point your xp will be halved in f2p (in p2p this restricion doesn't apply). With your 45 attack, decent strength and decent skills (for dungeoneering), you could get a gravite twohander and pk pretty well, I imagine. Other than that, your santa is just shy of 100m right now, I think, if you were willing to sell it, you could buy pretty much any gear/levels you'll need in f2p besides 99 prayer. In p2p it would also get you some pretty good gear and stats. Bows
I am in the same position, I took an extended break and I'm easing back in. If you really want to start playing more, I suggest you only do skills that you enjoy first. Try to remember what you found fun while you played, and do those things. Don't make it a grind-fest like many others do, it's a game, play it as such. :) Other than that, welcome back to the Forums and welcome back to the world of RuneScape. :)
Racer434
I would say that as a level 73 with a santa your pretty well off... Other than that if you keep your def where it is and just train attack to 60/70 and str and range to 99 you'll be the perfect pure imo If you want to you could also get 85 mage for tb "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." - Confucius "choosing your path is the true trial", "the most honorable dilemma"
Sy_Accursed
Best way is to do what interest you. And have a read over news archives (game updates specifically) when you have time. Then from news archive + playing come back with specific questions. Gravite twohander is only 45 attack, corrupt dragon is 60 attack. meili
Are you able to use most if not all of the methods for getting around members? I had to do all those quests to be able to use all the ways of moving from place to place, it really makes RS better. I mean stuff like the fairy rings.
