Firefox Is Already Running

Bows

Recommended Posts

Whenever I close my Firefox window and attempt to open another one at a later time I get a message saying that Firefox is already running and I must close the process, or restart my machine. Is there any fix to this? I've resorted to just closing is in the processes page every time. So I ask again, can this be fixed?

Any help appreciated!

I get it occasionally but usually after tht error pops up it does close and clicking again works fine.

My solution is to CTRL+ALT+Delete, go to task manager. Then look for the firefox[Caution: Executable File] program running, you'll notice one is running a very high amount. Shut it down and firefox will work perfectly after.

I do this when it happens and it usually fixes it

That's what he said he does:

I've resorted to just closing is in the processes page every time

But yeah, that's the quick fix. All you have to do to prevent that error is wait for it to close itself; in other words don't attempt to open it up again for a minute or two after closing it.

Or you could do what I did: I said "[bleep] you firefox" and downloaded chrome instead.
