1) What is it?

Praying piety/turmoil through the whole task, and potting frequently/using overloads. Combat familiars and cannon where those are possible to use

2) Is it better than regular slaying?

By far. You don't spend that much extra on prayer potions, but the exp is a lot faster.

3) Slayer is renown to be very profitable, but is power slaying more/less profitable than regular slaying?

Break even or slight profit.

4) If you power slay, do you do clue scrolls after the task or during the task?

I would only do elites, as they're the fastest/easiest imo.

5) Does it have high costs?

As when it comes to power training, it usually applies to maximum efficiency that comes proportionally with cost.

Not extremely high, but obviously costs a bit more in cannonballs/prayer potions.

6) Pros/Cons of Power slaying?

Pros: faster, more enjoyable

Cons: bit more costly, takes more attention

7) What stats would be best to power slay?

The best is maxed melee/ranged/summoning, 91-92 herblore for overloads, turmoil, the best gear available - rapier, bandos, fury, berserker ring etc. And of course access to using the cannon.

Dragon drops: 82 (2 claws)

Dagannoth kings drops: 73

Barrows item count: 51

GWD drops: 54 (5 hilts: 1x bandos, 3x saradomin, 1x zamorak)

Whips: 4

Sigils: 1x spectral (FFA), 1x arcane (FFA)

1) What is it?

slaying using piety/turmoil, combat familiars and a cannon

2) Is it better than regular slaying?

In terms of efficiency, yes.

3) Slayer is renown to be very profitable, but is power slaying more/less profitable than regular slaying?

Slayer is not very profitable. Ever. But power slaying is less profitable.

4) If you power slay, do you do clue scrolls after the task or during the task?

After, if you do them at all.

5) Does it have high costs?

You still profit, slightly.

6) Pros/Cons of Power slaying?

pros:

faster

more exciting

more tasks p/h

faster charms

cons:

cost

click intensive

7) What stats would be best to power slay?

95 prayer

88 herblore

99 summoning/95 summoning

maxed melees/whatever

80 dg for rapier

DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers rings

QBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow parts

CR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size.
...
It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.

I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).

I might add that max melees are kinda pointless as you have to max them all over again training slayer. 80 melees are just fine imo, with all boosts you still hit 500's pretty often.

That might be true, but if you're just looking for straight up slayer xp, then max melees is the way to go.

6) Pros/Cons of Power slaying?

7) What stats would be best to power slay?

1) Going through slayer tasks as fast as possible (using Piety/turmoil, Super/extreme pots, combat familiars, cannon)

2) In terms of slayer xp, yes

3) Less profitable per task. The idea is mainly get xp as fast as possible, then use the time saved making money in other ways. If you want to "make money" from slayer, power slay less.

4) Strictly efficiency speaking, you don't do them at all, since the average profit is not worth it. But if you must do them...after.

5) You'll almost always break even

6) Faster slayer xp, faster combat xp, time saved to make more money.

takes a lot of attention, you don't make as much "money" per task. Setting up a cannon near people makes you less popular (lol)

7) For strictly slayer xp...99 melees/magic, 95 prayer, 89 herblore, 99 summoning

For a mix of combat experience and slayer....as soon as you become a member. (well, technically...right after you get extremes, but I wouldn't expect a new member to get those)

1) What is it?

maximizing slayer xp/h

2) Is it better than regular slaying?

objectively yes (that is disregarding personal taste)

3) Slayer is renown to be very profitable, but is power slaying more/less profitable than regular slaying?

per hour, more profitable

4) If you power slay, do you do clue scrolls after the task or during the task?

after the task, if at all (some people do not like them)

5) Does it have high costs?

As when it comes to power training, it usually applies to maximum efficiency that comes proportionally with cost.

higher accounting costs, but to not powerslay has much higher opportunity costs

6) Pros/Cons of Power slaying?

pros:

faster slayer xp

faster melee xp

ranged xp from cannoning

faster charms

faster effigies

faster drops

more engaging, fun

cons:

takes more focus

requires the use of more supplies (non-powerslayers do not use prayer pots, cannonballs, and sometimes not even super pots)

can be discouraging to see "so much money" go towards supplies

7) What stats would be best to power slay?

99 all

here are the levels at which i would recommend starting slayer:

80 attack (rapier)

80 dungeoneering (rapier)

70 prayer (piety)

70 defence (verac's)
