DarkerFalz
Ok, I've got 71 summoning at the moment, and around 2k crimson charms. No idea how many gold/green/blue I've got since I'm not on RS at the current moment, but I'd guess ~1.3k gold, ~1k green and ~300 blue. I know that one can burst/barrage for charms, and I know that waterfiends/cockroach soldiers/dust devils are good for charms (actually, I'm not too sure about the last two, hmm. Anyone mind clarifying that for me?).What I want to know is:a) What is the cost of bursting 71-79 summoning (using SOL and battle robes, obviously), and what is the cost of bursting 71-88 summoning (same equipment)? If you can, add in the costs of gear, as I'm not too sure how much all that gear costs. b) What is the cost of killing waterfiends for 71-79/88 summoning? Gear: Nezzy helm, Karil's top/bottom, Glory, Dragon Boots, Barrows gloves, explorers ring (3, though I might get 4, so include that in any calculations), Soul Wars cape, and zammy spear, praying range, using a bunyip. Stats: 85 attack/defense, 86 strength, and 82 magic c) Which would be more cost efficient? Either just getting the charms, or getting the charms and making the pouches. d) What should I make for these levels? I apologize if I'm making this too complicated, and thanks in advance for any help you may give me!
Bladewing
well you already have the charms for 79 summoning. so i'm going to assume you are considering getting more charms for 88 - which is about 8000 more crimsons. with your stats, you should really only be choosing between waterfiends and bursting lobs. off task i'm going to estimate that you would get about 100 crimsons per hour at wfs. you ought to use piety, and not bother with protect from ranged. you'll approximately break even (technically profit, but it's such a small amount that i'll disregard it). so it would take you 80 hours to get the crimsons, but you'd also get about 1.7m xp in each attack/strength defence - that would bump you up to about 89 attack/strength/defence. bursting rock lobsters. due to the additional golds/greens, you will only need to burst for about 5500 crimsons. you get about 160 crimsons, 100 golds, 50 greens per hour bursting. you also get about 110k magic xp per hour by using about 600 casts. so it'll take you about 35 hours to burst all the charms, at the cost of about 20m in runes (about 9m if you use full battle robes). you will also gain about 3.8m magic xp. summary:wfs - 80 hours, 0 loss, 1.7m each att/str/def xplobs - 35 hours, 20m (9m) loss, 3.8m magic xp i would recommend bursting, since magic xp is a bit more valuable, and the 45 hours you save will be plenty to recoup your 20m (9m) losses. edit: pouches to make golds - use all on barker toadsgreens - use all on fruit bats and then scrolls, using baskets of bananasblues - savecrimsons - after using all your greens and golds, use on the following familiars 64 - stranger plant74 - granite lobster83 - spirit dagannoth (depending on hide prices)85 - swamp titan How to Chin Nechyraels for fast XP and profit
Quyneax
Well I know the cost of waterfiends, that's zero or profit :P. Bursting is around 250k total xp and 250 crims (+ about 50 crims of xp in other charms) per 1k casts with sol only, so effectively just over 1150 casts. Ah Bladewing beat me to it. DarkerFalz
Hmm, how much would the gear for rock lobs be, and what items would I need to wear/have in my inv? I've never been there before.EDIT: How much do the seconds/shards cost? And what pouches should I make?

Shards = 25gp eachSeconds = Depend on the pouch you use, check Tip.it's Summoning Guide to find out which seconds to use. Kent's guide may be of help to find out which pouches to make, and Andylax's guide may help with bursting/barraging questions. ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~
