Cacmypants
I'm not 100% sure which is the better option, but you could also consider a void deflector, then replace your void top or bottom with an ahrim piece, that would add more to your magic attack and defenses than using a zammy/mage book (in void). Though, I think void is better if you have a really high magic level (95+) since that's when the hefty 30% boost should fully come into effect. Btw, with a deflector and ahrim top in a void setup, your magic attack becomes +80 instead of +58, pretty close to the pure ahrim setup even without the void boost. Hegelstad
Ahrim = 122 magic attack Void w/deflector = 80*1,3= 104 magic attack Ahrims is a lot better unless you value ranged and magic defense, which void has a lot more of. Cacmypants
Ahrim = 122 magic attack Void w/deflector = 80*1,3= 104 magic attack Ahrims is a lot better unless you value ranged and magic defense, which void has a lot more of. I thought magic level factored into the 30% bonus as much as magic attack. I know attack and strength levels factor into void melee. Why would magic be different? If this is true, it would make his magic 26 levels higher. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't someone with 113 magic and +104 magic attack be more accurate than 87 magic with +122 magic attack? Then again, we have no idea how these formulas actually work.

Cheefoo
Go with the first setup. Also, you should probably get ahrim's hood. While it may have the same magic attack of farseer's helm, it has better defence, and has no negative attack bonuses (except maybe for range?). Quyneax
Go with the first setup. Also, you should probably get ahrim's hood. While it may have the same magic attack of farseer's helm, it has better defence, and has no negative attack bonuses (except maybe for range?).It degrades, and if he needed defence, he'd go with a melee helmet/fsh or something. Either way, Grimy did some calculations on this, and it turns out that if void mage increases your maximum accuracy roll by 30%, then a maxed void setup is maybe a percent worse than a maxed Ahrim's setup. Maxed being with arcane/imbued ring but with sol also. Having less than a maxed setup does not favour void, I think, and the lack of deflector just makes Ahrim's the better choice.
