Attention seeking in the clan world

In the clan world we see many forms of attention seeking, and thats what tends to help many clans recruit. Getting positive attention directed towards them and recruiting from that helps the more successful clans.

Which forms of attention seeking do you find acceptable?

Some examples I can think of off the top of my head: Posting "calling out" topics to clans you dislike, Posting your win topics, posting youtube videos of speeches and the like, mass posting topics *coughteamdancough*.

I find that the win topics are obviously acceptable and while youtube videos are entertaining at times, they tend to be pointless and not give positive attention towards the clan.

One of the biggest ways people 'seek attention' are through their aftermath topics--be it win, loss, or draw. Another is funny signatures and 'badass' posts. People are drawn to cool people persona and everyone's got an e-...ego that needs proving. Whether or not they're acceptable depends entirely upon how they're carried out. Adelais had a pretty successful career, skirting the lines of acceptability and gaining the attention of the entire community whereas there are...less successful, newer groups trying out similar tactics with rather poor execution.

The entire basis of posting on fansites is to draw attention. That includes war topics, signatures, etc. Rankings play a huge part. There are no official rankings for clans, so they obviously post aftermath topics and propaganda to make their clan seem more superior to the other clans. This is especially important when those rankings are based on a matter of opinion.

Declaration topics are a bit too far with attention seeking, considering you could easily just drop a PM to the opposition. Posting your wins isn't really attention seeking, it's just showing the rest of the community what fights you've won.

Anything is acceptable in my opinion. If you can back up your words then you can pretty much do anything you want attention wise.
