how many tokens would i need on average to get from no defender to at least a rune one might go for dragon if it is not too bad.?

 

also how much xp should i expect to get from the token collection and defender obtaining?

Not sure on the xp, but it took me about 2k tokens to get rune, and about ~150-200 to get 2 dragon defenders. Now, the rune thing was before the update, so I'm not sure with the whole "use mixture" thing, but I know it's best to use a mixture of all your tokens for the dragon defender.

Also, wear a RoW. I may be totally wrong about this, but out of three trips i have done since dragon defender was released, all with 1000 tokens each, i have gotten all 5 of my dragons with the RoW.

 

First trip, no ring-0 Defenders

Second trip, Row- 3 defenders

Third trip, Row- 2 defenders

 

Maybe its not enough data to say that it helps, but i think it does in this case.

i am going for 80 slayer at the moment and i dont really have any intention of continuing it for a while after i get 80. this thing is that i want 90 att/str/def but 80 slayer will leave me just shy of it. should i use this opportunity to get both defenders and the lvls i am looking for. also do you think it would be enough. according to my calculations 80 slayer will leave me about 150k xp till 90 in each skill

I would say get the defenders, then get 80 slayer, then maybe go back and finish the levels by getting the extra defenders?

Waay too little data. I didn't wear a RoW and got 2 my first trip within 200 tokens (that's 200 taken from each of the 4 tokens).

 

And to answer your question, I'd go get the Defenders, it won't hurt to have them in case you get a combat kick. Once you get the defenders, finish 80 slay, and then grind out the last bit of xp to your 90's.

I wore no RoW, got 3 defenders in one trip (I allready had rune) with 100 tokens of each games, using the "use all" method. This method increases the drop rate and the spawning of the big guys, who also have an increased drop rate.

 

Then again, I may have been lucky.

ROW does not affect the Defenders because they are Monster Specific drops [/ROW]
