The difference it makes is minimal really. One extra inventory space at LRC, which I guess translates to an extra 625xp. I just had so many flasks left over after March BXPW and still needed 99 Mining that it seemed like a good idea. Ideally you'd also be using a lava/fire staff instead of runes to save on the rune costs but I like the defence. Was much easier when staves were one handed. And since Mish was asking:-

The "new" quests were a bit over the shop, although I did enjoy some of the 'puzzles' of the second quest. Albeit annoying at times. Could've done with big xp rewards but I'm an exp [bleep] so. Daily spins gave a second set of recharge gems, not sure whether I'll use of Agility or RC just yet, so they'll stay banked until I come to a decision, even with a daily rc challenge and - if I don't do RC today - an Agility challenge tomorrow.

 

Also got my hands on a Pendant of FM, which unfortunately doesn't work with the Book of Char, but does however, make for some nice xp drops at the Jad Lair. Anyways, this is the method I use for BoC (

). I manage around 60-70k xp on average but I'm sure someone with better clicks could hit the 100k easily.

 

Been doing some PVMing whilst I'm tired of slayer/random skilling. 2 QBD kills gave a total of [bleep] all (

), one melee and one mage kill. Think I prefer mage but that's an aside. Decided, having seen another video in the suggestions from the QBD guide to go give Zammy a try.

 

 

Decided, as I was only testing, to go with only a 4 Dose overload/renewal, with 2 brew flasks and a tonne of food just in case, given I was really only experimenting. Ended up staying for about 45 minutes, with the lack of overload not seeming to make much difference.

 

Ended up using the hood for the rest of the trip.

 

Not a bad little test, and definitely will be visiting Zammy more often when I get Greaters tasks. As a note, if you position yourself between K'ril and the minions - although they will regularly stack under him - Detonate can be VERY useful hitting quite well.
