Umega
I'm sure some of you have heard of a baby pengiun has been stolen from a Isle of Wight zoo (island south of england coast). Sure it's just 1 pengiun stolen but the parents of the pengiun are also suffering - they're not eating. :( I too live on the Isle of Wight and have been to Amazon World a couple of times, and it's a shame someone would steal the poor thing and it won't survive without it's parents even if the person who stole it is looking after it. This news (or so I've heard) has gone global and there is a ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã4500(?) reward for it's return (probably not for the thief  ). Some say that it may be stolen because of the film march of the penguins and someone wants they're own penguin. No longer playing Runescape, I caught the WoW bug. Antrune
Well I spose it is possible; the film theory. Penguins are really nice :P Hopefully they hand it back in. Where would you keep it? the freezer? or just wadling around in a bath of cold water. And no lol why do you always want to get stuff from John Lewis. Its over ̣̉300 more then than what i paid. John Lewis is a great, great shop.
Scruffy5389
Some say that it may be stolen because of the film march of the penguins and someone wants they're own penguin. If that's the only reason, then probably the thief is a complete idiot. Thus, they will be caught fairly soon. Seriously, why would anyone steal a frickin penguin?

logic-is-overrated
i mean why would you steal a penguin? To eat it is the only thing I can think of. This is the way the world ends. Look at this [bleep]ing shit we're in man. Not with a bang, but with a whimper. And with a whimper, I'm splitting, Jack.

crackfox04
It's a shame that people decide to take it from their parents, and it will only feed from them. :( I think the reward is ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã4000 at the moment. It's a bit like clown fish, everybody wanted them after watching Finding Nemo.
dan_the_scot
That's really sad to hear. :( I hope the little guy is returned home soon enough.

Pretty pathetic I think. Its global news and a ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã4000 reward when a penguin, a penguin goes trotting off from the zoo, but when a child, a human child, who is suffering just as much or more than that cute wittle penguin goes missing, they get a Lost flyer posted at Circle K and a 5 second snippett about them in between America's Most Wanted commercials. Way to go hunamity  . Gamertag: King Arizona

Way to go hunamity  .That might be due to the fact that about 800,000 children a year go missing. Yes it's sad and yes we wish we could do more about it, but with such a massive amount of children there's only so much you can do. This is the way the world ends. ryderj716
its just some ignorant person that thinks it's cuteand had no idea that this would happen, that's just sad. 1690 total and unranked strength. Headed for 1800.I like the irony (no wait, paradoxicality) in how there's a spelling error in this sig.

Umega
Taken from http://www.iowtoday.co.uk: TIME IS fast running out for the rare baby penguin stolen from a Newchurch animal attraction, which could die if not reunited with its mother. Rewards totalling more than ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã10,000 have been offered for the safe return of Toga, the three-month-old brown-and-white brownfoot or jackass penguin after it was stolen on Saturday evening. On Thursday false hope was raised when Amazon World took an anonymous call from a man telling manager Kathy Bright he had dumped the penguin into the sea at Portsmouth docks and another anonymous call was made to GMTV minutes later. However, despite a search, Toga was not found. E-mails from well-wishers worldwide have also flooded in to Amazon World where Toga was born and where staff spent five hours searching for him on Sunday. The penguin, an endangered species from remote parts of South Africa, stands barely two feet tall and weighs around seven pounds. Toga was in a concrete enclosure surrounded by high fences. According to Ms Bright, Toga needs special care and is not yet old enough to be apart from his parents, particularly his mum, Layana, who feeds him. "If he is not found quickly, he will die as he relies on his parents for food," Ms Bright said. "Someone must know of his whereabouts and our main priority is to have the baby returned as soon as possible." Toga will not feed from a human and can get very stressed. He requires a special diet with supplements, to be kept cool and access to plenty of fresh water. According to Ms Bright, Toga is not as cuddly as he appears and will bite when frightened. Amazon World is one of only three facilities in the UK that houses this breed of penguin. Amazon World owner Derek Curtis said he believed the penguin was stolen to order and could well be off the Island. "There's nothing more cuddly than a baby penguin at Christmas. I'm praying and hoping to God it's still on the Island," said Mr Curtis. "Toga's parents are very stressed and have, since he was taken, been constantly in and out of the nest box. "As part of an ongoing conservation programme, we aimed to return Toga to the wild within the next three years." :( No longer playing Runescape, I caught the WoW bug.
