Wessan
Okay so Ive lost ton of money by buying a Santa hat about a month ago (yea I know about whats happened, Christmas crash, etc..... shut up.). What I would like some advice on is: should I sell it now and attempt to get some of the new armour/clothes/crossbow coming soon in order to make up for losses? Wessan
Well I'm not planning to keep the new armour. I would watch it rise and then sell it at some point, which possibly allows me to get Santa hat back plus some cash I lost in the first place.... or more. TheAncient
santa didn't crash b/c of christmas, it crashed because of the upcoming free trade update i would sell santa, use the cash to do something useful wait 2-3 months before you get torva Ever wanted to find street prices of RS items? Wessan
Maybe I'm not explaining this well or my second post was not seen, but this is a short term venture Im looking for. I DO NOT WANT TO KEEP the torva armour. I want to get it asap once it is released, make some money on it and sell it. Should I do that or keep the santa. Those are the 2 options. Lose No Hope
Torva armor will be extremely hard to get in the first few days or even week (depending on how hard the boss is and the drop rate), so you will most likely not get the armor when it first starts to rise in price. Most people who get the armor as a drop will want to keep it for the first few days at the minimum. Noxx
Wow, i actually find it hilarious how you're planning around an item that has not been released yet nor has there been given any time or date of its' release. Take a step back and think. With your levels the only way of getting Torva would be to **1) Hack an account and transfer 2) Have someone give it to you via free-trade (once that is out ofcourse). There is probably going to be no way that you will be good enough for a team and if you go to a ls mass you're going to need more lsp than you can think of. There is no way on earth that you're going to be able to get your hands on Torva in the G E for a month or two.So lets face it, your chances of getting it are slim to none.Just sell your Santa. Cut your losses. Go back to whatever you were doing to make money for the Santa. **Please note that i was in no way engouraging another player to break a rule. I was making a pure statement of how hard it would be to get Torva.
Wessan
Laugh if you like, but the bottom line is that all items released rise from the get go. The idea was to attempt to get it through buying on the GE when any of the items is dropped through a lootshare. Am I looking to get the most expensive? Probably not. We know the new items will be released this month so there is the your timeline. The overwhelming idea that it is foolhardy to attempt this then means first option: keep Santa hat. There were two options, picked one. Discussion over.
la la la
My general rule is not to buy a rare if it hinders you monetarily... like if you have a santa but don't have a fury or bcp for slayer, something is wrong. So yeah, the 3rd option that anonymouse mentioned.
bedman
Well, if free trade isn't out yet, you might be able to snipe a piece, but those chances are very slim. In any case, I don't see santa going up any time soon, so I'd sell it if I were you. Shouldn't have put your whole bank into one item, I hope you learned something today :-) A Guide to Chinning in Ape atoll: up to 325kxp/h!
Vezon Dash
Nex is supposedly harder than Corp. You can't catch a divine for less than 1b. Good luck with getting torva for less than 300m per piece when it comes out.

And why on earth would you keep your santa if you're low on money? :S There are three sides to every story: There's one side, there's the other, and there's the truth. When he sells it, he will be 40 poorer than before, and I guess he cant accept that A Guide to Chinning in Ape atoll: up to 325kxp/h!
