calum12
I recently bought a longbow sight, and now I want to find some decent places to train with it (F2P).Which monsters have relatively high hp and but also high range defence, so they weren't good training before with maple sb? I have 72 ranged, I don't know what kind of effect range lv has to attack bonus when talking about accuracy, so I can't really guess at smb's effectiveness based on existing guides... EDIT: ok, looks like best use is in PvP. Does anyone think that it could help in FoG, considering lowered defences? Hmmm.... I need a new siggy, get round to doing it later. Probably. Quyneax
Eh, hellhounds? Greater demons? Overall it'll always be slower xp though. ghjkl
It's pretty useless unless in wars. You shouldn't be killing high range def monsters for training and it doesn't have the dps potential of the shortbow for no arm pking.
Askthedude
The only use for it I can think of is PvPFull Rune and a Sighted Maple long provides you with decent melee defense and ranged attack, but you lose out on the speed of using a Maple Short bow. :-? Why can't the Big Bang be done by the hand of God?It could have, but it is next to impossible because it also could have been caused by the flying spaghetti monster, or one of the other infinite number of deity possibilities. Sinkhan
Full rune + MSSB at ice giants/ice warriors sounds like it could be viable. Would have to spend less time to safespot, providing a semi-afk source of XP and semi-decent drops. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug

SirIzenhime
Pvp situations where your oppenent is wearing rune+ It's not good for any F2p PvM situations, but it's very nice in pvp death matches (where neither of you run) for the extra accuracy.
