I'm abit confused by this.

Featured Replies

Unsure if this is the right forum, but I couldn't find a better one.

Tip.it says that General Graardor is a Goblin, and Commander Zilyana is a Humanoid. I was talking on the RSOF and they said that Tip.it made a mistake and that General Graardor is an Ourg and Commander Zilyana is an Icyene.

Is tip.it incorrect for labeling them as they did? Can I have some feedback on this.

I'm sorry if this is spam, abit new to these forums. :S

I think Ourg and Icyene are more specific catagories.

Goblin/Humanoid are general.

a square is a rectangle.

I'm pretty sure ourg is a subset of ogre, not goblin. As for Zilyana... I guess Icyenes are humanoid, but her species is definitely Icyene.

Technically goblins are also humanoid, so yeah. There is no true taxonomy of Gielinor :P.

Is Graardor not an Ogre due to it dropping Ourg Bones?

Drops don't matter in classification of beasts....

You're very right. Graardor is actually an Ourg, and Zilyana is in fact an Icyene. Of that there is no dispute.

However, it is important to note that they are the ONLY members of their respective races currently known to us. In other words, there are no other Ourgs or Icyenes in Runescape at this present moment. (Note that there are Ourg Bones, but those are obtain from special chests rather than drops from an ourg.)

Now, I was not one of the people who catagorized Zilyana or Graardor, as I was not a crew member when GWD was released. However, to my understanding, this is the line of reasoning. Since they are the only members of their respective races, it makes little sense to great an entirely new category just for one monster, even if doing so would be "politically correct". You can see that the same holds true for Kree, who is classified as an Animal despite being an Aviansie. There are just simply not enough Aviansies in Runescape to justify creating a new category. If you look at Kril, however, you will see that he is classified as a Demon, as it is an expansive class. Thus, Kree, Graar, and Zil were simply given classes that we "close enough" to their true races, just not 100% accurate. Again, this should be taken with a grain of salt as, after all, I was not involved with the categorizing of these monsters.

That dude from the Myreque quests is an Icyene, Zaaps. ;)

To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.

That dude from the Myreque quests is an Icyene, Zaaps. ;)

I mean monsters.

And if we're thinking of the same person, I think it's only speculated that he's an Icyene. I can't remember his name though, but something about his blue eyes and last name.

Come to think of it though, ourg bones ARE some kind of ogre, if that's a sub-type or whatever. If ourg bones are found at a graveyard that ogres use, that suggests that ourgs are somehow related to ogres.

And that guy is definitely related to the Icyenes somehow.

Well if it bothers you that the game is more fun now, then you can go cry in a corner. :shame:

your article was the equivalent of a circumcized porcupine

The only thing wrong with it is the lack of a percentage for when you need to stroke it.
