Sir_Squab
Your stats will be effective. You can easily make it back in time for an Angel of Death, providing you keep multiple sapphire lanterns in your bank. Hell, first time I died, it was when angels of death were 5 minutes, not 6 minutes. I managed to get to the GE, buy the materials for a sapphire lantern, make one, run down to TDs and get there right as my grave died. Squab unleashes Megiddo! Quyneax
I did the same except that I made the oil, in Rimmington -.-. Took 7 minutes (bless). Use void & uni and you should be fine. manitstinks
When I used exts, I used neitiznot, fury, d hide, defender, soul wars cape, d boots, barrow gloves, and whatever ring u want. U would want to use rune crossbow, rapier/long, darklight, uni, scrolls, lantern, tele, 10 ppots, 1 ext attack, str, range, and whatever spec weapon u have. green9090
k thanks ill be using either rapier or cmaul probly rapierIf you're new at it, I recommend using the maul if you have both. It's a whoole lot easier because you get more time for switching. Rapier only gets to be better when you're always switching weapons on time. All_Is_Great
I'm also new to it like you, and we have similar stats. Personally I use dhides, dboots, neitz, sw cape, glory, rol. For weapons, I prefer karils xbow + cmaul. This way, you never have to worry about switching shields, but sometimes the missing accuracy from a defender can make the darklight take a while to hit. But I just swap on piety and it hits pretty often so I don't worry about it.

manitstinks
Takes up a space which is pretty annoying. I tried once and i just always seemed to forget that i brought a defender with me.
Bladewing
it helps a lot more than one more ppot How to Chin Nechyraels for fast XP and profit
manitstinks
Well... You could replace that ppot with spec restore and u can get a couple of more specs on tds. I think 2 specs can equal a trip where defender is used on every shield.
All_Is_Great
Well, if you're gonna bring a defender, then you might as well use rapier and a rune cbow or something. Since I suggested cmaul and karils because he's a beginner, i didn't reccommend claws because both his main weapons are 2handed.
green9090
To people hating on bringing a defender just for the shield, try it first. It seems to save more than one darklight hit per shield on average, which is a huge difference for time you're going to save every single TD once and sometimes twice. I would never consider not bringing a defender if my setup doesn't use deflector.
