I've been looking around and there have been tons of guides all saying different things to do

-some say put all into coal

-some say put all into herb

-some say 10 into maple/5 into herb

If I'm looking for fast/easy GE sells as well as a decent profit margin - anybody care to give some advice?

10 herb 5 maple works well for me.

Also it seems that gathering mahogany is not such a bad idea

You pay 224.6 at 100% approval and their current ge price is 306, that coupled with a nest every 350 logs is good no?

10 herb 5 maple works well for me.

Is the 5 maple used just to get the bird nests?

How fast do maples sell?

at current market values 10 herb 5 maple is by far the best setup.

Reading guides on the matter is a waste of time because they all quote what was best when they were written and thus are usualy badly out of date

Mattonline has a very comprehensive guide on the RSOF. His prices were last updated January 31, 2011.

According to those prices, 10 maple and 5 herb is the best way to go currently.

It worked when I posted it =/ Sorry

It's a stickied guide on RSOF, so it shouldn't be hard to find.

^ Yeah, I ran through some math on my own and it seems that Trees + Herbs are always going to be the best way to go.

Especially with the FT - the cost of coal/fishes are dropping but the birds nest are pretty great income at ~5k per.

I do..

10 herb 5 Coal, but thoose prices have dropped alot since FT so now im a bit unsure...

Maybe swicth coal for maples now.

coal was never a good choice.

As already well covered in this thread best two have been herb n maples for a good year+

People tend to go for 10 herb 5 maple, as maples are a bit luck of the draw and bad seeds can ruin the profit margin; where as herbs are stable money.

But in all technicality unless ur luck blows 10 maple 5 herb should be the best money atm.
