What's up with Zamorak brews?

I used to love killing steel/black dragons with Dharok's and zammy brews, but since the herblore update torstol has been super expensive, so I assumed that zammy brews would either be unbuyable or unaffordable.

I just happened to be browsing through the GE today, and was shocked to find out that zammy brews are crashing really hard. Right now they were listed at 1.8K, but I managed to buy a bunch for half that price.

My question is why? Who would use a 35K herb to make a 1k potion? Does some monster drop a ton of them?

kril (zamorak gwd) drops them

Not super consistently and its only 3 at a time.

It's great you know what you're talking about rustiod. Everything you've said is 100% accurate a true.

That being said...your a [bleep]ing [bleep] douchebag, and none of your advice will ever (or should ever) be taken seriously because of it.

disregard good advice because the giver is a douche

THAT MAKES YOU A BETTER PERSON

Maybe its because people don't use the brews?

Imo a super attack + super str is better, because hurting your def and hp is nasty, plus super restore only restores your def.

Sara Brew + Super Restore works nicely. Zammy Brew + Super Restore doesn't.

its a cheap prayer potion (or was at various points in time)

cheaper per prayer point than prayer potions (at various points in time)

you can afford the def loss if you're praying, or have overloads.

heck if ur not on overloads, the def loss increases deflected damage caused by deflection prayers.

Which is why I use Zammy Brews + monk robes @ black demons.

Zarfot recommends them in his mega slayer guide (well recommends - mentions as an alternative). If you repot often enough, you won't lose defence. You repot zamorak brew - this takes your previously boosted defence down to your base level, then you pot defence and strength after.

It works out pretty nice. They keep my HP down to just about nothing, and also replace the prayer pots. Using them with Dharok's I can generally kill black dragons quicker than my summoning spec bar can recover on my yak.

edit..

Thinking back, I used to do this prior to extremes, so back then it was a better deal than it is now.
