Great guide, but dont try barrows if you have lag

 

 

 

I do barrows easily with slayer dart and this was my first try on anceints, i was running a virus scan at the time lagged at guthan and died

Maging karil is just as easy as maging any other of the brothers

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I did the lvl 70 the whole tiem and it worked effectively.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

For dharok in a tunnel you can use the side-step method (Freeze him walk 1 step direction to make him diagnal from you adnd you can freeze him there)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And ahrims I used full black d hide and 100 addy arrows.

and u dont oray vs dharok for the first hit? what is maxhit he can hit with full health? or health is no matter for Dharok? i mean he can hit 58 at full hp?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dharok rarely hits me on the first hit. Even if he does, I've personally never been hit higher than 20s from him when he is at full health. If done correctly, you should only be hit once, so it is no worry.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

ive done about 100 trips with slayer dart and got 4 items. i just did desert treasure, btw it was alot easy than i thought it would be. but my mage is only 65, could i do barrows with ice rush, or should i change back to normal magic and wait till i hit 70 to use ice burst?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Just use slayer dart, ice rush's freeze time is simply not worth it.

Ice burst is very effective, like all other magic spells. Its max of 22 occurs very often.

I mainly just killed bloodworms, which I believe drop bloods. I don't kill any of the others because I don't want a bolt rack drop, which takes up inventory space. I think the spiders can drop half keys and such. Most of the runes still comes from the barrows brothers, killing creatures in the tunnels only increase the rune drops.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

could u explain a lil more in depth how you kill ahrim and karil? i mean what equip you wearing

You can kill Karil by just meleeing him in your melee gear. However, if he happens to hit you often, you may wish to bring a few prayer pots. I don't recommend using ancient magicks because it is expensive and not that much faster than meleeing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ahrim is easily killed with a bow and arrow. Your magic gear already gives a very nice magic defence, and your bow is very accurate by itself. There should be no problems at all.

I don't recall the exact amount, but I do remember it took me about an average of 1 ice barrage + 10 ice bursts per brother.

40x Ice bursts

 

 

 

80 Deaths

Ancient Magicks are really fun, if you think so too, then you should get it. ;) It really depends on how much you like magic.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Regarding the puzzles, just memorize the solutions (they are on tip.it and my guide) and you should be able to answer each puzzle before the monster hits you. There are only 4 different puzzles, so its not difficult.

I made the guide before I looked at Leesters. :) My guide focuses on the tactical (if that's an accurate name for it) part of barrows, other guides may be better for general information.

i guess its not safe to use ice rush eh? with only 5 seconds of freezing would that work? also, you can always bring a ring of dueling to recharge prayer for those that need it for dharok and karil

Ice rush is not very practical, you can only get 1-2 hits off before you have to run, and I think you would be better off with slayer dart + prayer instead, or some other method. And yes, ring of dueling can be useful if you need the prayer recharge, but usually, I just bring a few noted prayer pots and stay there forever. :) (Well, as long as I can before some friend calls me away haha.)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Biabf: Thanks. :) It can be expensive, but I feel that it is fun and it can give you practice with the freeze-run thing, if you ever need it while PKing or something else. Also, barrows items that you will get usually overshadow the cost of runes anyway.
