xxtheonexx2
Yes I know, this is a common question in this part of the forums, but rather than asking someone to do all the work for me in calculating the info....I'm hoping you can confirm my calculations and help make sure that my numbers are right. The reason I say withought SoL or Battle robes is because I don't have 75 attack (nor do I have any intentions in getting 75 attack because of my Range Tank character build) and I think I can still afford 99 without the use of Battle Robes ( Kinda lazy  , don't want to spend the time recharging the robes). My Mage gear needs some work but will probably be something like this: Helm: Ahrim's HoodBody: Ahrim's TopLegs: Ahrim's BottomWeapon: Ancient Staff (need suggestions)Off Hand: Prayer Book (need suggestions)Boots: Infinity BootsAmmy: Fury (need sugestions)Gloves: Barrow's GlovesRing: Ring of Life I have 200m to spend, but I'm praying that 99 Summoning won't drain me. I'm currently 84 Summoning. I'm estimating the price of getting all the charms will cost around 100m based on these calculations: 1 ice burst cast cost: 4 waters - 22ea - 88 gp4 Chaos - 63ea - 252gp2 Deaths - 402ea - 804gp Total gp per cast - 1,144gp 1,000 ice burst cast = 1,144,000gp This is where it gets a little fuzzy for me. Remember this is without SoL or Battle Robes! 1,000 ice burst = 250 crimson charms? 100m = about 87,000 ice burst 87,000 ice burst = 21,750 crimsons 21,750 crimsons enough for 84-96 summoning but I'm assuming that the Gold, Green, and Blue charms will be enough for the remaining 3 levels. Does my information seem right and accurrate? Any help would be great!
ghjkl
Nowadays bursting/barraging is not the best charm gathering method. Cannoning black demons or killing waterfiends provide similar charms per hour but do not lose ridiculous amounts of money.Your math looks fine though, except that the other charms will not add up from 96 to 99 summ. Hmm, really? Is there any links providing me detailed info on Cannoning black demons? Never heard of it being effective but I'd definately prefer it if it is. As for Waterfiends and even Black Demons, that also takes into account Maxed melee or close to it with Iron+ Titans and Overloads I thought. I'm a Range Tank with 74/74 attack and strength and only 85 herb. Is that cannoning method still any good for me in particular?

Just suit up with your best str boosting gear with anything above a 15+ prayer bonus. Set up your cannon (this is at taverly), use your strongest potions for att/str, as well as piety/turmoil. For a familiar bring a BoB for more prayer potions, yak being used to bank various drops. You will also get a nice amount of effigies from black demons. Bladewing
i think for demons he'd be better off ranging from a safespot with cannon acting like its multi  How to Chin Nechyraels for fast XP and profit

Bladewing
better if you don't care about magic xp - black demons give an effigy every 100 minutes or so, as well as dropping infernal ashes and such How to Chin Nechyraels for fast XP and profit
xxtheonexx2
I don't care about the Mage xp, I actually value the Range xp over Mage xp. Are you saying that 100m gp will provide more/equal Crimsons (or Summoning xp w/ effigies) than bursting. Guess it would be nice if I had figures to calculate with. All I know is that I could buy around 345k Cannon balls with 100m....
superway25
From 96-99 at black demons you might be able to break even with yaking the ashes. Barraging lobs is the fastest charms, but black demons should be like 80% the charms for 20% the cost. and effigies are always nice.
Quyneax
I wouldn't do waterfiends at your melees, that's for sure. Rock lobsters, if you are not 99 magic. But you are, so yeah. That pretty much leaves black demons. They are about as fast as bursting, but you range them. If you can't yak the ashes you won't break even, but you can probably either bank them with a war tortoise or just forget about them, and spend less money than barraging. Quyneax
It would, unless you had the agility for the floor spike jump + a stack of taverly tabs - not that it'd be great then. But if your killrate goes from 250 to 200, but you make 600k, that's not that bad of a tradeoff at lower incomes.
