80 smithing

Featured Replies

Is there any decently cheap/moderately fast way to get to 80 smithing from 72 (932,175 current exp)?

Not looking for cannonballs, or anything as slow. Please and thank youuuuu.

Addy bolts might be good for you, you need 73 though but you could boost to it or do something else (mith bolts maybe) for 1 more level. They're not mega fast but a lot faster than cannonballs and fairly cheap

At current prices if everything buys and sells for mid it would be 8.1 gp per xp or about 8 mil loss from 73-80. After calcing that it's not as cheap as I thought :ohnoes: . Superheating gold while mining at lrc would be best, if you have 80 mining. If not you could smelt gold at varrock furnace with varrock armour and superheat at the same time which is over 100k xp p/h and very cheap, like 3-4 gp per xp. Be aware you would need goldsmithing gaunts from family crest for these methods.

Whyyyy have I never heard of this before? Is this faster or slower than mining/superheating it in the lrc?

For purely smithing xp it's faster. For overall xp lrc is better. Or you could look at lrc as you are getting the smithing/magic xp alongside training mining and losing no time doing it so if you think of it like that you could say the smithing xp takes no time at all.

This, it's fast, cheap, and also give magic exp.

It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet.

That's exactly what you're doing right now... just saying.

Gold ore is still pretty cheap, I've been powering through some Smithing levels over the last few days. Will cost a bit but if you sell the bars then the impact won't be too huge, just take it one level at a time :)

Thanks to everyone for the help. I never knew I could smelt while I smelt.

I have all the materials for 80 smith, and I'll probably get there within a few days. You guys are awesome.
