I was killing Dagannoth Rex while watching Bonanza episode on Youtube. All of sudden out of nowhere comes a player with divine spirit shield and guthan armour and lures Supreme on me. I informed a high rank of in the cc "Burstinglobs", and that rank said she/he needed proof.

 

So i got out of Dagannoth cave, and went back in to kill Rex. And was had recording program ready to record the player who lured on me. Because the high rank of Burstinglobs cc said "show me proof".

 

Around 10min later a different player comes into DAgannoth kings and lures supreme on me. Note: Both lurers are level 138.

 

Once i uploaded video to youtube i tried to get the high rank to watch video. But after i called out him in cc c ouple times, he replies with "I give up". He told me before that i should go to #Burstinglobs" and post the video there (refering to Swiftkit). I don't use swiftkit, and replying to me only with "I give up" is just crap.

 

I may not be liked by many people because of how i am. But i like to think i am very understanding compared to these [wagon] who can't be nice and help a fellow player out.

I reported the lurers in hopes of getting them banned from Burstinglobs cc, so that they wouldn't get much help with gates.

I think i will go do slayer. I am disappointed at how people can be towards me. And just when i was having alot of fun at Rex this happens.

Well, they'll probably still be able to get into the lair, as the dk door partner world has been set to w66.

 

Anyway, what they did for lvl 138's is really lame. Now I tend to crash solo magers while solo tribriding when I have to (busy hours of day), most often they deserve it, but I don't lure any kings on them just to get my way.

 

They should however still be put on the cc's ban list, so they can't ask for blessing should they die (even though the chance of them receiving it is still high with randoms passing and the rather overlarge timer on graves these days).

also the fact that you can't hold your own world suggests that you don't have much claim to the spot

 

just log off runescape and watch tv. log back on when you are ready to play.

1) Both players did not have any pack yak with them, they were both level 138. If your gonna kill Dagannoth kings and are level 138, then Pack yak is a must.

 

2) They didn't occupy the world, because i went back after 5min

 

3) Are you telling me that when you play Runescape, you have ONLY Runescape window up and nothing more? That you have your eyes ONLY on Runescape and not Tv/or enviroment (room)?

 

There is difference between crashing a world and trying to get a player killed.

 

 

4) It's not my fault i can multitask, and certainly not my fault that you can't multitask. So don't hold it against me for multitasking.

 

(P.S I disconnected once, and came back to find a player in my spot. We duoed Rex, and eventually he hopped, because i managed to make him hop. I didn't have a grudge against him for not hoping)

uni works fine if you have frem boots 4 - it's a lazy method with shorter trips but it's much easier

The two lurers NOT crashers didn't have any familiar with them. Whether you achieve more than me at Rex/Dks, have nothing to do with this topic so i will ignore that. And i frankly don't give a crap.

 

I don't like to tribrid. Asking me to tribird is like me asking you to solo Rex. See the point? Besides, i am not on task when i kill DKS, and i bet alot players are on task when they decide to tribird.

 

Either way, this topic is not about tribirding or soloing, or getting crashed. It's about two scum players who lured on me supreme to get me killed. And later i tried to get these players reported, where one of them i recorded and uploaded video to youtube, but i was met by a high rank who did not care to help.

And my point is: That is your way of killing DKs. YOURS, not mine. I am glad it's convenient that noone can lure on you since you tribird. But i happen to like killing Rex only, not because i can't tribird, but because i PREFER it. Now if your gonna tell me "prepare for supreme", when i won't be killing supreme, i might as well tell you to bring a pack yak instead of uni with 40+ rocktails incase 5 lurers will come and try get you killed for as long as your online.

 

Funny that you called the players crashers at first, and now when correct by me you call them lurers.

 

Even if i brought a melee weapon, what stops them from coming back and repeatedtly luring Supreme on me...

1) Crashers? Come my way if you like, i have no problem, solo rex or Tribird Dks.

2) I don't know about correcting you, but just like you come talk about how i shouldn't multi task or how you achieve more than me at DKs, i wanted to put it out there how you misunderstand.

 

3) I take a risk at DKs everytime i X-log with Supreme/Prime on me. So i take plenty risks. I have even taken the risk to X-log praying magic when having supreme attacking me! So don't lecture me about risk. I am ready at any time to be attacked by dagannoth kings, but i know where they roam, so i rarely get attacked.

 

Being ready to counter a lure attempt to kill me, is something else. You need to understand that. And i have no bloody problem with crashers, they are just that...crashers. They steal your world, they don't plan to kill you.

I am prepared for Prime, Spino, and Rex. Just not Supreme. I am through replying to your points. They may be good, but your reason for using them in this case does not work. I could for example stalk you in Runescape luring monsters on you and making you teleport constantly. What the [bleep] are you gonna do if the monsters weren't as easy to tribird as DKs?

Apparently if you stand at a certain spot and keep your distance Dagannoth supreme won't attack you. :rolleyes:

I know enough high lvl'ed player that could go for tribrids, yet opt for soloing Rex instead, berserker rings are after all a lot more wanted then a seers ring/...

So rather then discuss the topic onhand people want to discuss how the OP is "doing it wrong". So he wants to solo Rex while watching something, is that the end of the world? I mean mudslinging and saying "pro players do this" just makes me feel like you do not care about the thread but want the OP to play the game the way you do.

 

Anyway that's pretty much what I wanted to comment on. But for the sake of pushing discussion I'll say this, players who do stuff like this to harass other players is disrespectful. Keep on the topic of harassment and luring, not "tribiding" vs. "solo rex".

His point is that people are entering the lair and luring supreme on him for the sole purpose of killing him....when he hops, so do they. They aren't keeping the world, they are literally there to kill him.

As for the OP....you can't stop people from entering the lair and neither can burstinglobs....so... despite what I just said (^)....deal with it. People are just going to do it because they can.

Two things:

 

1. Your watching TV while at DK, prepared for two Kings but not the third. (You specifically said in a post you weren't prepared for Supreme.) Your under the assumption he won't come and attack you. Well, that's all fine and dandy, except for crashers/lurers. If you died because someone lured a King over to you while you were watching TV that's your own damn fault.

 

Now before you get mad at me for missing the point of this topic, let's move on to point 2.

 

2. You tried to report the person to bursting lobs so they wouldn't ever get help from the CC but that failed. Well, that sucks, but really. I can't see trying to report them being productive. Furthermore, there were two of them weren't there? They could help themselves get in there anyways. Or just find help from other people. I think the real solution to this is just to deal with it. Turn private on friend's so they can't follow you. Or, if your confident, die and just get your stuff back from your grave just to troll their efforts lol. And in the future, be prepared for lurers. As the previous poster said, neither you nor bursting lobs can stop people from entering the lair, so deal with it by being prepared next time.

 

Really. Watching TV while playing RS? I'll grant you that some things in RS are mind-numbingly boring, but bosses aren't somewhere you just be watching TV. (Or whatever else you said you were doing.) In dangerous places, you should keep an eye out to make sure you aren't getting killed. And IDC if the only reason you died was because of lurers, despite the fact that with your set-up you were perfectly safe to watch whatever - this is an MMO, other players are part of the game, so if other players can come and make things dangerous and potentially cause you to die, your evidently in an area where death is a big enough risk. Whatever you think SHOULD be the case, that's the reality.

 

I mean, I completely agree that these guys are douches, could use a ban of say a month and never having access to bursting lobs ever, but that's not how life works.

Yes. It really is. But, really, what ARE you gonna do about it? Imo, trying to get the burstinlobs cc to do something about it is dumb, I mean they're pretty big and I can't see them effectively blocking lots of people. All you need is like 200 people on ignore, for one. Plus, that's just one CC, these lurers could just find other people to help them. If the OP said there was two of them, the two of them could help each other in, for example.

 

Really, for lack of a better way of dealing with them, just....accept that douchey asses exist.

 

I still think being AFK or watching a vid while at DKS is just asking for trouble.
