CannibalAngel
Hello; I am a returning vet of this game and am trying to get all of the best items for F2P. I do not plan on playing this game as much as I did in the past and can not justify paying the membership fee if I am not going to be playing that much. Basically I would like to know the BEST F2P weapons/Armor/Items available. Cost is not a factor and neither is level. I just want to know the best things to have for F2P play. Consumables like food, logs, and ore do not matter. Thanks in advance for the help!

CannibalAngel
rune and green d-hide pretty much. Yeah I got that. I was looking for something more specific. Like what weapon to use whilst maging. What items to always keep on hand. Etc...

Helm_Lardar
The best armour to use while maging is the combat equipment from Fist of Guthix. Include with this the s[bleep]y boots and the runecrafting gloves, and you have your armour. Then you need a tome of frost, an arcane blast necklace, and a gravite staff. Then you're set. I'm not an efficienado.

CannibalAngel
The Magic Longbow (Sighted) seems to be members only. What would the best F2P ranged weapon be? Any other suggestions for items to get?

Tnt6200
Oops, typo. Quyneax is right, maple longbow. Got it... So I need to train Dungeneering. Also, why should I get a cyclopean helm? To look cool.

amitoz
Gravite 2h, Gravite rapier. They both beat R2h, and Rune scimitar, respectively. Obtained from dungeoneering. Come to my Clan chat (I'm there if I'm online) if you wish to borrow a Green H'ween mask, Blue H'ween Mask, Red H'ween Mask, or Santa for a reasonable price. XYG
You can always go with Saradomin armor and gold trimmed green dragonhide armor.
Bladewing
pretty sure maple shortbow is better than maple longbow sighted except in pvp situations How to Chin Nechyraels for fast XP and profit
Youmu
I'd shy away from the gravite rapier personally, it's only barely better than a rune scimitar for melee combat training (assuming you're doing flesh crawlers/giant spiders) but with a slightly overwhelming cost. The same holds true for the green d'hide coif. Also, do not buy trimmed armor of any sort. They are no different from their regular counterparts.
