dark_ice
I love Christmas! Its the only time of the year where all my family is together. It seems that everyone is always happy and nothing really goes wrong. The laughs, food, gifts, happiness is just amazing. It is now 5 days after Christmas. The family has gone so its back to just me and mom in the house. I can't hear any of my nieces and nephews talkin or crying (yes I even miss the crying). The decorations have come down, yes, the oh so pretty decorations. School's starting back in 2 days. To me this is sort of a depressing time. Seems like all the good times are over and Im just going back to my everyday same old-same old life. I know I'll be over it once I see my friends and my girlfriend some more and things will start to pick up again. But does anyone else ever get these same feelings. dark_ice
Hmmm...slightly morbid but I can understand that. They are probably feeling sort of how I do except maybe on a bigger scale. Or it could just be sheer coincidence. So you work at a cemetary? Thinking of that is wierd. You say you have had no deaths this week. But I can't say, "Well I hope your work picks up". Then that's like me asking for people to die.... Sorry for the off-topicness of that.

Bubsa
I wouldn't say a depression but it's definately a come down. Christmas for many people is the peak of the year, so it's perfectly natural to feel a bit, how you say, 'empty' shortly after it. Christmas day is just one huge release of anxiety, anticipation and stuff. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
Phil
Christmas time is usually the opposite. Everyone seems to be cranky and ready to snap at any point. I'm glad it's nearly over for another year.

Of course, the whole thing about school starting up in 3 days gets me :? . Gamertag: King Arizona
How2PK
Not depressing at all for me. Finally some rest, not all family around me. I like it. Just think of the next year and you'll be all happy. Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore! jaklumen
Seasonal Affective Depression > After Christmas Depression Seriously... if coming out of the holidays is a let-down, imagine what it must be like to be lethargic, to be sleeping at weird times, to generally just feeling blah because your circadian rhythms are jonesing for some sunlight? I'm glad it's nearly over for another year. Someone who shares my point of view :o I guess I just like to see the worst in anything. Rather than think "wow, I am going to have a chance to catch up with relatives from all over" I'll think "Great, I am going to be stalked by 10 year olds for three days straight" In saying that though I still think that christmas is fantastic. It would be a crime to deny a child the ecstasy of not knowing what is going to be in the next large wrapped box.
dogtag_dez
After Christmas Depression Do you mean a hangover? Did you even read his first post? Yes, it's called a 'joke'. A terrible joke, but a joke nonetheless. Sorry...
Punc
Hmm, the fake friendlyness during the holidays annoys me much more then the normal behaviour when they are done. :?
