Honestly, I don't see the big deal of a "New Year". Nothing changes, except you have to write a differant date on papers. People stress pointless holidays too much :(

A lot of people see New Years as a time to start over. Especially for companies and such that literally start fresh in a new year with sales and goals and deadlines and stuff.

Its the idea that we're starting fresh for another year. Every year has new goals and new plans...so why not celebrate? :P

Well, its 2006 for me (Central US) I actually really liked 2005, maybe because its was(I need to use past tense, lol) my High School graduating year but for one reason or another I honestly really liked 2005 and I was actually quite annoyed when, as the last few minutes were being counted down, the media was talking like "2005 was a disastrous year, thank god it will be over in 5 minutes!" the partner replies "No kidding John, I know no doubt all of us here and all our listeners can't wait for this year to finally come to and end, we all eagerly wait for 2006 which will be MUCH better then this past year"

Well 2005, I for one did not eagerly await your passing; thanks for all the great memories and auld lang syne. This one's for you aught five

Its -3:03 now

The Enrichment Center reminds you that the weighted companion cube will never threaten to stab you and, in fact, cannot speak.

In the event that the weighted companion cube does speak, the Enrichment Center urges you to disregard its advice.
