Look up a list of summoning pouches and their ingredients. There's one on tip.it. You'll want to gather those ingredients and make the pouches using a summoning obelisk like the one you used in Wolf Whistle. Pouches and shards are bought from the summoning shop in Taverley, secondaries vary but can usually be bought from the GE, and charms are from killing monsters. For low level summoning, killing fire giants would give you a good mix of gold and crimson charms, but there are tons of options.

thanks but that doesn't really answer my question....what do i do next after Wolf whistle??...what sort of pouches should i be making...how do i use them?? etc etc etc... i have skills trained up into the 80's but have no clue about this one...bit like construction...have heaps of resources and access to raw materials hundreds of charms....but a SIMPLE AND UNDERSTANDABLE guide to training up would be a great help...thanks again but i'm none the wiser for having already looked at that stuff you mentioned.

How did that not answer your question? To get summoning experience you make pouches. Take the ingredients to an obelisk and make them. Think of it like runecrafting except with pouch ingredients instead of essence.

I thought green actually explained it pretty well.

If you're looking at exactly what to train and when then ask that rather then your jumbled, strangely phrased half questions that demand so much but don't really alert us to your needs.

At level 20, you would like to stick to your gold charms for now.

Since the cost of mosquito proboscis are extremely prohibitive - stick to making granite crabs.

For me, (it's going to be different for everybody)

I did

20 - 40: Granite crab

41 - 45: Macaw

46: Pyrelord

47 - 48: Magpie

49 - 51: Bloated leeches

52 - 55: Spirit Tbirds

56 - 60: Ibis

61 - 63: Smoke Devils

64 - 65: Stranger plants

66 - 67: Barker toads

68: Bunyip

This is my personal list - but everybody's list is going to vary based on their preferences.

However, I would definitely stick to granite crabs from 20 - 40

-you don't want to waste all your good charms

-you don't want to pay 8-9k for 46.5 exp

Also, people's list will changed based on the charms that they can get their hands on.

Like you - at first I was very lost but once I hit lvl 41 and I decided to plan out some levels did things become a lot more clear to me.

Some familiars just need to be skipped over - just calculate how much some of the things cost and look out for key familiars that you want to be making.

Just calculate from there.

While Tip.it.forums is a wonderful way of getting information - I think you're looking for a set in stone path way of training summoning.

It depends on a lot of different things - mainly: your charms & what you can afford

Other then people giving you their list of things to use - there's not much people can do to help.

Just look up the cost of secondaries - add it to the cost of shards, divide this total number by the experience you will be getting for making that pouch and that's how much you're paying per experience (more or less).

Somebody's going to have to do these calculations - so it might as well be you.

How exactly does he keep track of the ge prices?

is it real time? yesterdays prices? 2 hours ago's prices?

Wow, that thing is AMAZING

I think he has multiple ports that take the data from the GE whenever the spreadsheets are pulled up. You should ask him though, I'm not very knowledgable in that area.

The summoning spreadsheet can be slow or even fail to load due to the large number of items involved, but yeah it's pretty good :P.

Generally, summoning is based on making pouches (this gets you xp). To make a pouch you need to bring the right ingredients to a summoning obelisk. The right ingredients for a pouch are: one charm (colour depending on what pouch you make), one empty pouch, a certain number of spirit shards (25 gp each, buyable in large bulk, mainly used to make summoning more expensive) and a secondary ingredient. This secondary ingredient can be bought or gathered. Example secondary ingredients are wolf bones for spirit wolves, chunks of granite for granite lobsters, fire talismans for fire titans and raw bird meat for spirit terrorbirds.
