I want to get 95 prayer eventually. I just invested a lot in Herblore, so I just want to train it as I get money. What method should I use?

If you have it, mention the amount of bones/ashes I could do per hour. That way I can calc the better option.

Bones or ashes at your POH altar, ectoing still sucks unfortunatly. You can do 840 bones in 43 minutes for sure with a tortoise, perhaps more.

He gave you the figure for bones/war tort. Calc the rates yourself. This is help and advice, not spoonfeed me because Im lazy.

With a war tortoise - even if you're not paying that much attention, it shouldn't be too hard to get 300k exp an hour.

watch a movie while altaring. it'sso much faster.

bones at altar works out to about 1k per hour (so around 250k xp/hr with dragon bones, 630k/hr with frosties) if you use a tort. definitely the most effective/efficient method for training pray

but frosties costs pretty much. I prefer just normal dragon bones. :) and one question, how do i get that skill thing below my post?

At 1K bones per hour at POH, Dbones @ 6k ea, Forsties @ 20k ea, ashes @ 5k ea and 2M per hour (moneymaking):

Dbones are best (93 hours spent training + making money), Ashes are second (94 hours total) and Frosties are worst (102 hours).

 

Now, if anyone knows how many ashes I could do at Ecto (including getting slime), I'll have all the info I need.

Err, assuming duelling + ectophial, war tortoise filled with ashes. You then carry 22 buckets & 4 more ashes in your inventory, fill, ecto etc. So you need to test how long it takes to fill 22 buckets - that's 1.8 second each I think? 40 seconds + time to walk down & tele up. You also need to bank every 22 instead of 42 ashes, and you can only use ashes (grinding bones is just waay to slow).

 

So I'm guessing ~60s filling, ~20s ectoing, then banking, for a rate of perhaps 800 ashes per hour? One ash is worth 40/35th of an altared ash of course, so probably 900 ashes equivalent. 25% slower xp and only about 13% savings.

 

You should assume 1200 bones per hour, it's not hard at all to achieve. That typically changes things in favour of cheaper, slower bones.
