March 30, 201115 yr A friend of mine told me that a friend of his claimed Mod Emily had listed Ring of stone in "Future update list". I went to "Future updates" forum and tried to find the topic, but did not find it anywhere. The person claiming this said the topic was about Ring of wealth and Ring of stone was mentioned and on Page 2, Mod Emily had said something. It seems that it's false, but i wanted to ask here.
March 30, 201115 yr The whole thing sounds off lol, the line a friend of a friend is never a good way to start things off.

March 30, 201115 yr I recall reading something like this once as well, so it's not total nonsense. However, whether it will be released before we all die (2012), was not mentioned.
March 30, 201115 yr It does have a use..How else are you going to turn a multi-million gp ring into something worth ~500k?The only reason it isn't worth under 100k is because.. well... who makes rings of stone? >.> I don't care, I have two. As long as they keep some of the old-style rocks in the game I don't mind Runescape player since 2005 Ego Sum Deus Quo Malum Caligo et Barathum

I imagine you're referring to this passage from the manual: What does the ring of stone do? The ring of stone grants you the ability to turn yourself into a rock, any attempts to do anything other than type via the chat box will cause the user to return to normal. It may also have other magical abilities which are unknown at this time. There was also a thread in general which discussed this but the search function has failed me. The quote has been there as long as the ring of stone has been available. I'm willing to wager it's merely artistic licensing on behalf of whoever writes these articles, there are plenty of examples of the articles varying extremely from the actual items.
