There are my stats.

 

Well, I've just entered my holidays, two weeks off school, so I'd like to get something done in RuneScape, and this has been staring at me for some time. I had a look around the place recently, and recent guides for it are somewhat lacking.

 

I've had minimal experience in that I've gotten to the 360 rounds for Karamja hard diary, and that's about it. Never aimed to get any further than that. I'm guessing I could do it somewhat easily, as I assume it's easier than way back in the day. I just need to know what to wear, what to take, and any other preparations I should do.

 

I have a little bit of spare cash to throw around for it, if needed. I also have Chaotic Rapier, and could probably boost to make any higher extreme potions if needed. I'll manage with the skills I have, so don't go suggesting I raise any levels. ;o If you need to know anything else, just ask.

Use deflect curses to kill Jad? Melee most of the cave with super att/str and rapier, prayer gear, take range for the 360s. Jad, switch just prayer with deflects so the healers don't spawn. Most people will find this far easier then having to deal with the healers.

Aye. I've got Curses.

Use Extreme Set instead of Super Set, bring an EE/EEE, and definitely Deflect Jad.

Of course I'll be using Extremes. I'll take my EEE.

 

What about the rest of the inventory.

6 Brews, 4 Restores, EEE, 2 Extreme Pure Sets, and rest P Pots.

Should I boost up my Herblore, make some Ranges and range the 360's?

If you want to prevent any melee damage, range the 360s, but I highly recommend you try to kite (kill it then escape) until it is dead. When it lifts up tail, quickly atk.

Don't bring ranged unless you feel uncertain about Jad. If you have good gulega experience, just melee Jad as well. Your ranged level is much lower than your melees.

 

Use your regular slayer gear, Bandos or barrows, rapier, defender, soul wars cape.

 

You will only really need 4 brews, maybe 4 restores, 2 pure sets + eee for defence and the rest prayer.

 

Curses would not be better than prayers in this case, but if you can get turmoil it's obviously a bonus.

Not investing that much money in anything at the moment, I don't have thaaaaat much.

 

Never fought Gulega, 82 Dungeoneering prevents me from doing so.

I know, it's more of a general statement.

 

If you are not getting turmoil (quite understandable), you should use piety and eagle eye unless you want to deflect Jad. Deflecting would be quite slow, as you also lose time on the caves themselves.

 

For ranged weapons for Jad, the order is hand cannon > kxbow on task and hand cannon > kxbow=ccbow off task (if using void, the added 71 ranged attack is rather neat). Since you are 99 firemaking you shouldn't be using anything but a hand cannon.

Should I take multiple, or will my 99 handle it?

 

Should I use Void instead of stuff? I lack Deflector, but I do have both Elite pieces, if that helps.

 

Would it be worth it to slay for a bit until I get a Jad task?

It shouldn't be a problem with your stats. I'd say get it as a slay task.

 

Here's what I do.

 

Equip: guthans, hally, EEE, cbow + broads, rapier + ddef, (slay helm)

Invent: 2 Brews, 1 Sup restore, Extreme pots, EEE, rest ppots

Strategy: Range 360. Hally 180. Rest with rapier or guthans. (If you want, you can kill 180 with guthans if you run back and forth between safespot)

Jad: Deflect

You'll probably still want 3-4 cannons even at 99 Fming, or just take one cannon and a backup ranged weapon.

Just opening all my options here, so back-up ranged weapon would be Rune C'Bow (Now way I'm getting a Chaotic) and Broads? Or should I get some sort of enchanted bolts going?

You don't need any enchanted bolts if you are meleeing jad.

For the 360's, though?

Kite them, like I said before. :P

Takes some practice, but kiting is definitely worth it.

I melee all but Jad, taking two handcannon for him. If you are unlucky enough to have them both blow up on you, then... meh, makes for a good screenshot on your blog :P.

Kite the 360s.

When Jad is down to 3/4 health or so and healers start to come, claw him.

2 good claws will see him fall over without the healers even getting to him.

If you're good at tds; jad is a piece of cake.
