Summoning calculator?

Is there any kind of calculator that will tell me how many charms I need to get 96/99 summoning, assuming I use all my greens on unicorns, blues on gysers, and crimsons on swamp or iron titans?

How would it approximate how many green/red/blue you have?

If you're only training on one monster - you can figure out the ratio (by running a few tests or just looking up the data on rs.wiki) of charms dropped.

You can then approximate it from there - but there's no other way to do it.

Perhaps these two pages are what you're looking for?

Summoning calculator and Summoning planner.

You would need to know approximately how many charms of each kind you would have though.

I found the planner very useful when trying to plan out my summoning. If you use the planner and put in your charms you have and work out what your final level / xp would be. You can then copy this and replace with your current xp (you need to remove the comma's) and start playing with the numbers to get to your desired level. Then you know you need another x number of charms.

[spoiler=Other Quotes]tbh idk why this makes me laugh so hard

All DFS threads turn into efficiency flame wars >.>

>OP asks "why use DFS?"

>everyone says "there is no reason"

>someone says "stop bashing people who use DFS, efficiency troll ass clown"

>thread is now a flame fest

This tool is the god of summoning imo.

Using tip.it ones you can roughly guesstimate how many charms you need to gather; then when you get close/get them you can use this to tell you exactly what to make it what order to maximise efficiency in terms of trade-in etc.

I think OP is just trying to figure out how long he should camp for to get the charms needed.

Unfortunately - there is no easy way to figure this out, seeing as the RS wiki "charm drop rates" are not entirely optimal (at least in my experience)

Best thing to do is record like 4-5 hours of whatever you're hunting.

Extrapolate that data, and see when you can hit your goal.

It's just a lot of busy work :(

But he clearly asked 'how many charms he needs' not how long will it take to get them.

Which tip.its summoning planner covered as best as it can be; unless there really is some leet drop rate linked calc I've yet to dsicver.

Summoning is much more complicated then that if you want to calculate the most efficient way to get and spend charms.

This is a thread on the other forums where I discuss it more in depth with pullie, he explains it pretty well.

http://grimy.freeforums.org/my-sheets-t80.html

Pretty much short of doing A LOT of calculations the best thing is to look at the charm ratio for the method you plan to use. Then use those ratios of charms in the summoning planner. I suggest using one of the methods from the Vex guide to gather charms.

PM me in game anytime

It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet.

That's exactly what you're doing right now... just saying.
