Pyramid Plunder

Recommended Posts

Hey, I was thinking about getting my thieving up a little bit more.

My ideas are to either train via

a.) pyramid plunder

b.) thieving the monkeys on ape atoll

Anybody want to give me any advice on Pyramid Plunder?

Are the exp rates that different? If they are - I might as well go Do No Evil.

However, if the exp rate is negligible - I might stay with Pyramid Plunder.

I have a whole ton of quests to finish at the moment - and right now Do No Evil is not at the top.

The ape atoll monkeys are substantially faster xp/hr iirc; but more monotonous.

With maxed pace and 99 thieving, pyramid plunder is around 230-250k xp an hour, and it isn't too monotonous. The goal is to open some urns in 3rd best room and all urns in the best two rooms. Opening sarcophagi in higher rooms is also helpful.

For money, they are both bad in terms of profit but i think the monkeys give a bit more loot.

What I've read suggests you can push the 300k xp/hr mark if your good; but realistic rate at under lvl 90 is around 150k - 220k

It is generally accepted to do monkies to level 91 and then swap to PP or a mix of monkies and PP. Not so much because PP is better then monkies but because it is actually fun. That being said, PP is only slightly worse then monkies or the method I'm mentioning next.

Iif you don't want to do a lot of quests then blackjacking is a very click intensive alternative to monkies which gives very fast exp maxing out at 270k/h. You could likely get 200k/h if you learned the method properly.

Blackjacking maxes at 260k-270k exp/h.

Monkey Fighters maxes at 300k exp/h.

Pyramid Plunder maxes at 200-240k exp/h at level 91, 150-180k exp/h at level 81 and 100-120k exp/h at 71.

PM me in game anytime

It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet.

That's exactly what you're doing right now... just saying.

The "sacrophagi" give str xp not thieving xp

Oh, yeah, sorry, that is for chance at sceptre, but it's only worth it if you have to run past there anyway.
