How much of a difference would Turmoil make?

I have 86 prayer banked, and from there at current prices would be about 92M in drag bones for 95 prayer, plus along the way I will be slaying and doing effigies, so it isnt likely to cost me more then 80-85M. I have about 140-150M in bank, plus BGS which I never use.

I am not going to do it all in one shot, but dragon bones are down to a 9 month low of $4,500, so it seems like a nice time to stock up, but bots might just continually drop the prices.

That being said, how much of a difference would getting turm be for me? Other goals are 80 DGing, dont need 85 for frosts cause I will already have turm so I wont need the cash, and I dont want to deal with a place full of bots.

Also I am working on slayer using range when possible, to up my range, and in between mining gold to superheat for mage and smith exp.

What impact would turm have on all that?

Soul split and turmoil are extremely useful in dungeoneering. Turmoil, as you might guess, has no impact on any ranging or mining you might do, and it'd be better to use rigour if you're ranged slaying.

But soul split/turmoil is invaluable for all melee combat. It's always worth getting unless you plan on never doing melee combat again.

Turmoil gives you faster kills (enaid will have the % figure in a moment I'm sure), a lower prayer drain rate, your higher prayer level means you will restore more prayer points per dose, and comes with soul split allowing you to use a bob or combat familiar instead of a healer in almost all situations. It speeds up your tasks while costing you less, hence making your slaying more profitable.

Plus you can use it in dg and soul split significantly cuts down on the food you need to use.

Sell bgs and level with frost dragon bones. You'll save more than 15 hours of training which you could use to work on dungeoneering while farming herbs to compensate the extra cost and get your rapier.

Edit

Don't worry about the prices dropping or rising. Just spend the cash when you can afford it and be happy when you get turmoil.

frosts would cost me an "extra" 50M

50 mil is a small price to pay for your sanity. Not to mention you'll easily make half of that back dungeoneering with herb runs every 1.5 hours on your way to your rapier.

But hell, do reg d bones, they're more fun!

Usually dragon bones are more efficient than frost bones afaik (unless you nex which you can't really do without a yak).

Turmoil would be anywhere from 5% to 15% more dps, depending on your opponent's attack, defence, strength and hp.

Infernal ashes are nice if you like to afk. Its like making 2m/h afking.

Get turm asap, the price changes over time is minimal compared to the benefits of turm.

Also get your own house altar if you haven't already.

can you elaborate, how are infernal ashes afk? getting them or using them on guilded altar? I did enjoy my last abys task because I can usually find a world with 1 or 2 super efficieny people, who dont pick up their ashes, and I can get my ashes from abyss and theirs, it is a little more banking but I am already there, and I get double the drops.

Most "super efficiency people" do pick up ashes if they have yaks. Do you really wanna start making fun of the people who are helping you in this thread? Nine times out of ten it's the efficiency nerds who answer all of your questions, so try to show a little gratitude for once.

I am showing gratitude, I appreciate them leaving me their drops.

And I didnt make fun of anyone, you called them nerds, so you are actually the one calling names.

He was probably calling them efficiency nerds because I believe that's what you refered to them as in a different thread.

I swear, you're getting just as bad as Golvellius or w/e his name is.

Also, go with d bones. I got from 85 to 95 in two days or so using d bones, it wasn't too awful.

99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving.

Jagex'd out of my untrimmed hp cape on 6/14/2011.

You spend 20 hours offering bones in a 48 hour period? I don't doubt that there are people who are fine doing that, but for the average scaper that's a bit much. A week of offering bones is much more realistic for that amount of bones.
