Are they worth it? I feel like they don't add too much for the large increase in cost. Mainly slayer like black demons and dark beasts, but I guess for mh'ing too.

I would say they are definitely worth it for monster hunting in pretty much all situations. Whether they're worth it for slayer really comes down to your income I wouldn't imagine there are too many slayer tasks were normal prayers won't be entirely adequate.

They are generally not worth the time it takes, and the herblore xp isn't too cheap either. For things you absolutely want to have staying power at, you can make a few. I use mine for Jad only.

For slayer it probably isn't worth it. You don't need much inv space for food or anything, so brining some extra ppots isn't too much of a problem.

 

Bring them for mh'ing though.

I dont think it is that much more useful then a regular prayer pot. not for normal tasks like slayer

I have them for Jad and select other monster hunting. They are very slow to make and very expensive herblore exp.

They are only really useful for boss hunting, and even then the only places I use them are Arma, Corp and TD's. For slayer you are kind of just wasting money using anything above a normal prayer potion and the same goes for pking, although a few restores to go with brews of course.

Using super prayers can take a 3 overload trip to a 4 overload trip at most (that's relying on a unicorn to heal you & all prayer restore fitting in your inventory as opposed to a bob/altar). Which, at for example Bandos god wars, would save you 5-10 minutes of kc + banking every 3 trips, taking ~50 bones (50 doses per trip). Grinding 50 bones takes 2 trips with a yak, probably around 3 minutes each? But of course a lot of your prayer is from the boss room altar, so you can't really turn 3 ovl into 3, maybe 5 into 6 or so (5-10 mins saved every 5 trips, costing you ~80 bones). In the end it's not really great.

 

At places like corp (2 mins banking) and tds (3-4 mins banking) it's less worth it, but there also isn't an altar you can use. At Armadyl god wars, you save 10-15 minutes of banking + kc, but then again there is an altar.

 

And of course, at all these places (besides tds w/ uni) you also rely on brews, so increasing the amount of prayer you can carry doesn't usually translate to that much more staying power.

Exactly, the best use is for Jad or maybe Nex but I'm not sure as I don't have experience there.
