Okay so maybe this is another "how to get rich" questions, but I'm not asking in the hopes that everyone reveals the secrets that got THEM rich, all I want to know is what I should do to build upon a total capital of 20mil gp...

 

I'm a little confused as I have been told that I should be valuing my time at well over 400k/hr... However this seems to be all I can achieve with the use of my runecrafting..

 

I tried flipping when I had around 7mil to play with but didnt get highly enjoyable results, should I reinvest in flipping now I have a larger cash pile?

 

So fundamentally I would love to know, with my stats and starting funds, how should i go about making cashola, and at what should I value my time (in gp/hr)

 

Side note: I am already investing in my kingdom and herb runs

Fipping is worth the time if you find a niche. You should be able to make over 400k/h flipping even low profit margin items.

Green dragons would be twice the money that you make with runecrafting, and higher xp/hr too of course. With a tortoise I think greens are 800k-1m/hr or thereabouts?. Merchanting can be way higher, even into the 10m/hr range, but that's with a larger cashpile. It's worth learning.

Also, the beauty of merching is that, if you use overnight flipping (as I do), it's often a "fix n'forget" moneymaker. I've made several mil over the last few days with about an hour of play time, tops. So, you can invest, then go off and kill green drags and REALLY make bank. Combine this with MTK, the dailies, and farming, and you're probably pretty set.

Very good idea... I would be very very interested to get good at merchanting, however the specifics still elude me, and I know no one will ever give up the items that have made them rich, so I was wondering if there is a way to learn? Is there a developed and friendly clan that could help me? Or anyone on here with advice to get me started?

Since I'm like everyone else (not sharing flipped items), the best tip I could give you is to be patient when learning to flip. Try to flip items related to buyable skills that you are actively raising. It'll help you get the feel of it much faster since you are already buying stuff to level. This helps you in learning the market flow, price fluctuations, availability and trends.

 

When I was raising herblore, I think i recovered around half my costs (rough estimate at 20mil) by flipping 2nds and vials (dont do herbs, it almost always crashes except for toadflax). Look for items that have steady prices, not ones that are consistently dropping or rising. If it always drops, you cant sell it. If it always rises, you cant buy it cheap/quick and higher risk of price crash. For me 1% profit is good enough per flip, 2%+ is a bonus. If 5%+, I'd switch to another item. It's tempting (and sometimes rewarding) to get rich quick with high profit items, but you might end up a victim of clan manipulations.

 

The same concept could be applied to equipment loot from MH and slayer, just maybe not as easily. Oh and dont use all your cash pile on 1 item, unless you're a pro merch. But pro merchs would put in a few different items..
