January 9, 200620 yr I know occasionally getting metal dragon tasks is not uncommon, but I've gotten 8 out of 11 assignments(not counting the burthorpe ones) now. All of them since the update. Anyone else getting tons of bad assignments?
January 9, 200620 yr that's probably just pure "luck" for you... keep trying or try other master =P i normally get a lot of metal dragons in shilo so i switched back to edge... January 9, 200620 yr Oh it's happened tons of times to me as well. The trick is to simply go to Edgeville for a couple of tasks - take your mind off it..then go back to Chaeldar/Duradel. Good luck! :)
January 9, 200620 yr I got a question... what stats are reccommended to effectively kill the dragons anyway? Last time I went to bronze dragons for an assignments I couldn't even kill the 16 for the assignment! I decided to cut the assignment short with the guy in burthope. I have gained a couple of combats since then, but I doubt things would be different.

I have gained a couple of combats since then, but I doubt things would be different. is hard to kill metal dragons really, at like combat 90 something super potted it was reallly hard to kill them for me the metal they have is super hard so its not even practical to cannon them

January 9, 200620 yr Metal Dragons At my combat level (see stats below) I can finish a bronze assignment with whip, one prayer charge and an inventory of sharks. Most bronze assignments are less than 20. Iron or Steel. These assignments are always like, "Kill 120 Steel Dragons" which is way more than you'll ever get done in one run. 2 strategies are successful depending on where you want to spend your money. Maging. Lots of safe spots down here. Hold your anti-dragon shield, drink an anti-firebreath pot, and use your magic dart to attack the dragon. You should be able to kill around 3 (or 4, we'll assume 3) dragons per dose. Therefore 120 dragons / 3 = 40 doses = 10 anti-fire pots. Rune wise, I didn't keep very good track of number of death/mind's consumed per dragon but if I had to estimate it off the top of my head, I'd say around 40 deaths/200 minds per. 4800 deaths 24000 minds. Wow this is getting expensive. BUT! You can at least theoretically complete a steel dragon slayer in one trip. Monking. Put on your full monk outfit, bring 6-7 prayer pots, some sharkies and whip away. Overall I find anti-dragon pots to be unnecessary as when you're meleeing them they tend to melee attack 3 times for each breath blast. this method is much slower and will require a minimum of 4 trips but is much much cheaper.

January 9, 200620 yr Yeah, I've had bad days too. like 12 out of my 20 tasks were Elves or Turasks and I hate both.

January 10, 200620 yr lol dude all u need for drag assignements r anti fire pots and lots of chaos and fire runes I kill them all the time easy as pie finally back in the game! send me a message, all my old friends quit I laughed so hard I pooped my thong. :lol:
January 10, 200620 yr ya, ive noticed some odd assignments. I commonly get like 14 bronze drags, which i always burthorpe cause thats just a waste of time, but get like 100+ irons. All the fairy ever gives me it seems is metal drags or dags, all of which i hate doing but usually do anyway. January 10, 200620 yr I used to like dagganoth assignments for the easy xp but it's just gotten out of control with the number of cannons. I went there the other day and there were 5 cannons set up! Insane... or the !*!@*! multicombat noobs that wait for you to attack one then they attack it too. (thus you recieve the hits and they get free xp) I hate dag slayers now... too much grief. In regard to bronze drag slayers, just do it. They're always under 20 dragons, quick an easy... beats the crap out of burthroping them and ending up with "50 bats". If your level is low just take a pray pot or two. I've never gotten a shadow slayer... hoping I don't... I haven't done that quest... For right now I'm barrowing... man the money is just too good.
