Smavey
I didn't complain, but when I saw the high prices of everything but the first wand it scared me away from that place. Now i'm going to visit it again with this update 8)
TeeBeaun
The pointes required were rather high. Jagex wants to keep their paying customers happy. What about the people that payed all of that in game money or time for stuff and now you can get it at half that, is that fair to thsoe paying customers? Y2g2003
Well... I saw this update coming ever since last week. When people were complaining about the overall price of just the wand... I knew the prices were going to get changed. Why people rushed in and bought the junk is beyond me. And thats basically what the stuff is at those prices. The time in which you took to earn the stuff just seemed unreasonable to me. The more I think of it, I do feel that maybe Jagex could have worked this update to not rip off people. They could've maybe reconfigured their master item list by changing the ID of the items after the update. And the the ID of the item before the update be the amount that the item was actually worth? I dunno if that would have worked, but it sounds like a good idea now that I think of it. Just a question as to whether they would have been able to have done that or not. That in itself could've taken at least an additional week to do. And depending on when they decided to address this issue, they might not of had time to do that to meet the deadline for this update. Guess common sense really does go a long way though. I still don't see why some people realized the prices were out of place, yet decided to go ahead and spend their points on the items anyways. Kind of defeats the purpose of complaining about the prices really. Sorry for the rambling, I'm done now. :) EDIT: Just wanna add a few comments so that it doesn't seem like I'm totally blaming players for their lack of common sense... I do find it pathetic how Jagex can't find balance in their updates. The price of runes in that shop before the update was a prime example of this, not to mention all the other items there. Its pretty weak that they are so out of touch with the very game that they work on. Some of these people who do the coding really have no market sense once so ever. They took little to no consideration into the time invested/consumed in earning each point or anything. This seems to usually be reflected in any major update. They can't really ever seem to take a thought and complete it. That and they can't take that very thought and apply it to Runescape at all without causing some sort of controversy. They would really serve themselves better if they would take a random amount of players and place them on a special beta server. I for one would have loved to contribute to the product at one time. Now this game just seems like a lost cause for me. R.I.P Shiva

NukeMarine
The Rune cost prior to this update made NO sense. You'd spend 50 runes to get one. Now, after you get your full mystic, wand, book and spell, you can put your pizzaz points into runes at a reasonable cost. Think about it, you're now spending 2 laws in order to buy one law. You're spending 2.5 cosmics to buy 1 cosmic. That almost DOUBLES the number of laws you can use if you use all your pizzaz points to rebuy laws. Similar thing for cosmics and nats. As for the outfits, the enchant points were too high. Cosmics were not an overly crafted item. If you consider STORE prices of cosmics (al kharid and wild bank) you'd still think that enchant points were too high. Now it's more balanced. Outfits, books, wands and spells were rewards anyway. The market will VERY QUICKLY stabalize. These robes are one step up from mystic is all. balistix0
Are the players having too much control over the game? The players are the game. they have to please as many people as possible, so they changed it.

Every new update lags and messes up another part. They should do it other week or something. And fix the game NOW

Myweponsg00d
The people who are really pretty upset here are the high levels with nothing left to do in the game. I, myself, was upset at first, but then I realised a few things. First of all, to do the arena, you only need high enough magic to telekinetic grab. You can use low alch and low enchant spells, without there being much of a difference at all. These are not high level spells, therefore the update shouldn't be geared towards high levels. From my new calculations, it should take about 1 Mil worth of runes to get full infinity. This was calc'ed with CRAFTING the Cosmic runes, because I can get 2x of those. I now see that this arena wasnt really meant to be a high level update. I think it is geared toward level 70-90 people. The new prices make a lot more sense. Need assistance in any of these skills? All those items can really be earned by spending nothing but time on it, from what I'm gathering. Its really just encouraging people to Runecraft more in my opinion. Might take longer, but its cheap that way. And the bigger picture is... those who do Runecraft the runes they need to get the stuff will advance further in Mage and RCing. Which is really what lower levels who are training to be mages should be doing. R.I.P Shiva
purkie_103
It makes sense that they drop the prices of the runes coz they were a bit over the top and maybe bones to peaches coz they were very expensize but i think theyve made it a bit to easy to get everthing now and that if anything the rices might rise again to a stable lvl so be careful about wot ur buying coz in my view i dont think there finished changing the arena around. mad4beanies
*off topic* doesn't cull mean to mass kill? culling seals etc.. and obviously seer = minor mage or prophet ie: the bow is for culling mages seercull
