AznPrincess
I'm currently finishing 99 Slayer, and I still don't have 99 Magic so I figured I'd try to get as close to that as I can by doing a lot of tasks via Magic. I'm really not sure which spells to use. Should I use Fire Surge? Should I use Ancients? I don't really care about cost, I just care about efficiency in killing various slayer monsters. Hedgehog
Fire Surge
Low C
As Meredith stated fire surge is the most efficient. I suggest getting Arcane Stream Necklace from Dungeoneering aswell to boost your damage.
AznPrincess
So I shouldn't even consider any other spells? Alright, thanks! :)
Hedgehog
Fire surge is the only spell with decent dps. All the rest are essentially useless.
AznPrincess
Also, what's some reasonable gear I can get for affordable boosts? I have Ahrim's Top/bottom, Slayer Helm, Air Battlestaff, Fire Cape, Fury, and Mystic Boots. Are there any pieces that I should absolutely have? Also, I'm kind of unsure what kind of shield I should use? What about any extra equipment or items I might need? Magic potions?

Either God Cape or Ardy cape 3/4 (probably the ardy cape as you lack prayer bonus in mage gear). Ahrims and Slayer Helm is a good choice. If you are a dungeoneering fan, Arcane Stream necklace is very useful. If you despise dungeoneering, a Fury is next best. With regards to a shield, for monsters with a lot of HP, a surgebox is a good choice. Effectively adding another 5% damage (although it will work out to be slightly less than that because of the way the special effect works). Obviously Arcane spirit shield is a good tanking option, as it has high mage attack bonus. Edit: I forgot one very important thing. If you are 91+ Summoning, a Wolpertinger is a very good familiar to use. Using the spec every minute (the scrolls are cheap) will keep your magic level at +7, adding another 21% damage to all your spells. If not 91 + Summoning, but you have a nice amount of overloads to use up, those are an alternative, providing the same damage boost. If you dont have loads of overloads either, you could either buy a vecna skull, or use extreme magic pots.
Unhesitating
Make sure it's a FSH though :P
Nifflin
Arcane stream is essential. Also chaotic staff will improve dps but your tasks will cost more. PM me in game anytime It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet. That's exactly what you're doing right now... just saying. For the wolpertinger - can you actually activate the scroll every minute? Will it every run out of special attack?
Quyneax
You get a full special bar every 2 minutes - a wolpertinger scroll uses 1/3rd of a special bar. You can use 90 scrolls per minute.
