Blutters
Firstly;I have 85 Fishing. While c2 fishing in dungeons is the most efficient method, I do not wish to devote that much attention. What would be my best choice for training fishing between Monkfish, sharks, and cavefish? Also please post fish per hour for each, if that's known. Secondly, if the vine whip is equal or extremely close to the rapier's stats, but for slash rather than stab, then ignoring degradation, where should the vine whip be used over the rapier? In other words, what monsters have a significant weakness to slash? Or, what monsters have a relative weakness to slash than stab? And then specifically, what are penance monsters weak to between stab and slash? ... Or is there a better choice for B.A? Am I doin' it wrong?Usually I would use rapier most and then switch to whip for controlled stages. Despite my dislike for the kind of situation the jadinko update will create, I'm sure I'll end up camping for that attachment anyway...
Low C
Why would you ask for advice about fishing with intents to snowball good advice? Are you asking which is the best out of the 3 slowest methods you mentioned? If so I would say Cavefish >/= Monks >>> Sharks.. As for your question concerning vine i'm sure anything still weak to stab will remain to be dominated by C Rapier.
Kimberly
It's the topic creator's responsibility to specify what sort of advice he wants. You may suggest alternatives once you've answered the original question or advocate methods otherwise unwanted, but there's no call to be snarky. Keep it on topic. Blutters
Which would be the best from the choices given?I specifically state I have no intent to C2 or barbfish to preemptively curb such suggestions.
Jacks0n
Fishing: I guess if you're not doing C2's do monkfish with urns. Whip: It will really depend on what stats the whip will have, because rapier kills most things extremely effectively. BA: Playing for points or to fill your horn? If you want to fill your horn, do waves 1-5, and repeat over and over. DDS should 1-hit all of the monsters with it's spec, and just take anything with the attack styles. ~[Blog]~[CrystalMathLabs]~[Last.fm]~
Low C
I gave said advice, it's a simple comparison between xp/hr rates and you didn't give what you value your time at so we can't really cant compare that aspect. I just really don't understand the point in this sub-forum if people do this sort of thing. I'm not singling out you alone blutters, i hate it when any op does this because it hinders discussion and it also doesn't help the outside lurker looking in from getting sound advice. /rant and my 2 cents. Inb4enaid gives the only good advice but i'm sure that won't happen considering you didn't ask for it.
Blutters
Ok, hold on. I understand your concern better...
Quyneax
Fishing-wise, you can either do cavefish or rocktail (best enjoyed at 86 though, makes you eat a lot less pies). Be sure to use urns either way. You can get up to 40k xp/hr, probably a little less since you're 85 fishing. If the vine whip will have the same stats as the rapier but have +94 slash and only slash attacks (and degrades as rapier does), it'd be worth using particularly on wyverns, and perhaps Graardor or Supreme or so. The only monsters with clear weaknesses are the higher dragons and waterfiends. Since dungeoneering people seem to be more conscious of monster weaknesses, but honestly most slayer monsters can be demolished by anything. For BA, your priority is speed > max hit > accuracy. You should start your early waves with dds specs (spec recover if possible to make 5 specs) then any fast melee weapon or darts/knives. For later waves, claws > dds but otherwise the same. xpx
I think the whip question rather depends on details we are yet unable to predict, namely the cost of the item and whether or not it will degrade. Firstly, if it's a 100m+ item, numerous people wouldn't be able to afford one and thus the rapier would be a much simpler item to get ahold of. If the whip doesn't degrade, it will be used for most slayer tasks apart from dragons and waterfiends as weaknesses for normal rs monsters are rare and insignificant. Again, this assumes 94 slash and 101 str bonus. First to 99 Farming on 27. September, 2005.First to 3766 Port Score on 20. March, 2014.First to 4664 Port Score on 2. March, 2015.
