I am about 6 months- a year behind in quests, cause they are boring, and the rewards arent that good. When I get bored of slaying, I mine in LRC for gold to superheat for smithing and mage exp. I try to cannon some slayer tasks for range exp. I bank all my ashes and bones so I can get my prayer up, I have 87 prayer banked. I also have 24 effigies, that I am holding onto, but plan to get help with the use them on prayer. I have tried DGing, but it sucks even with good teams like DGS, I just dont like the skill at all, so I rarely do it. I have heard suggestions about doing td's but I have no interest in prayer and equipment switcing, as I like to RS leasurely for fun, not super, hyper paying attention. I am always doing something else while playing, watching tv, checking my fantasy teams, etc... but still at computer, LOL. I have also had some suggestions about DKS, but have no idea how to do them. I hate AOW as almost all of them are out of date and are not very step by step and easy to follow, they mostly just tell you which gear to use and how to get there... Looking for some new ideas, I have thought of hunter or herblore habitat, but my herb runs take more then 5 minutes, so I dont think juju's will help much as I would need 2 doses per herb run. I have banked some logs to burn to get my fming up for tasks but it is a very boring skill so I rarely do it. I also have over 5K snaps banked to sell for bonus weekend plus 121M in cash. so that should bring me to like $170M after bonus weekend, which I already have 99 herby banked. The last 2 days I have cannoned black demons in taverly as the bots have left, but it doesnt seem like good money making even banking the ashes, I only make like 3 trips in an hour and bank like 114 ashes per hour, which is only like $350K per hour, not including charms and possible effigies. But I look at profit per hour as consistent not the way people do with factoring super rare drops that may never come. Looking to try something new to make money or level a stat for a good purpose. FM for the time you can stand it, altar the ashes, and/or alternate beteeen them and the herb runs. As sai, getting all skills to a certain level can be a goal, or some D&D activities. I found the shattered heart a nice thing to do, as it "forced" you to train all non-combat skils every week at least to some extent. Why are you so keen on making money, if getteing a certain amount of it is not a goal, and you don't have a spending goal? I never "make money" per se, I profit from the skilling/ slaying/farming I do. When I feel like it, I spend some money on armor, buyable skills and the like, then proceed as I did previously. Efficiency does matter very little to me as I can't stand doing the same things over and over again just to make enough money to do other things over and over again. brad1431 Posted July 25, 2011 Author Share Posted July 25, 2011 I agree with the efficiency part, I just want to do stuff that is fun that furthers the game along and makes my character better. But some things like Fming, how does having a FMing level help me, so what if it unlocks some skill or task log at a higher level, the skill is still pointless. I am making money to ultimately get 95 prayer, but I also want it to have just because cash is king. I like killing things and mostly do slayer with farm runs in between, and I am trying to level mage and range just to round out my combat defense for higher bosses like Bandos solo. transcript80 Posted July 25, 2011 Share Posted July 25, 2011 High FM helps when you use the hand cannon. The chance of blowing it up (random) is reduced when you have a high FM level. You also need 92 if you want to get an inferno adze to use for WC. Getting 99 is (equal to most other skills) not needed to get access to all the things of the skill. rangers5000 Posted July 25, 2011 Share Posted July 25, 2011 U can always play mini games like c wars and sw (its always a good feeling owning nubs also 5k cwars game is a req for max cape) u can always go pking which is fun most the time unless u die like 10time in a row. Recently ive been doing quite alot of red portal at clan wars in w129. Btw at lvl50 dung i thought dung was very boring and didnt train it for like 2months.then i decided to get rapier which was painful in w117.
