Jagex likely thinks Citadels are still a big deal. What Jagex doesn't seem to understand is that the clans that matter (DF, RSD, TT...) don't care about them at all.

How to make citadels work: allow us to choose what skills we train there. I can train WC and get bonus WC at my clans citadel if I want. Idgaf about WC exp and WC is easy to train anyways. Instead of those bonus exp rings in skills you probably don't give a [harpie] about, give an exp reward to the skill of your choice. Squab unleashes Megiddo! I also dislike how it uses shard worlds since I cannot teleport in and out easily. Hell, it doesn't even give us much room to customize since it's 90% world and 10% boring "enjoyment".

December 5, 201114 yr It's not even that customizable. If it was something similar to Minecraft then maybe it'd work out better. Don't think it'd be possible though. To be honest, the fanciest player-owned house is more convenient than a citadel 90% of the time if you wanted to host something, and the player has FAR MORE customizable options.
