It's Super Effective!

Recommended Posts

Woke up at 3:30 AM because of a weird dream. I was living life as a female for awhile, and then things take a turn for the bizarre with some figure from a painting throwing all my technology into the microwave to running across several lands, and finally having a drink with a very philosophical cat man.

Even if I rarely recall my dreams now, I swear I now only have the kind that is nothing but non-sequitur.

Look at my profile. One of Alg's friends is asking me how to write a character who is essentially a space cadet. My explanation on how to characterize one is basically one convoluted puzzle that essentially *is* being one.

And for that dream, I was posting that right after waking up and getting a drink. I guess recording a dream right after waking up in one is completely different to recording it hours after having woken up. I may even be unnerved reading the short description of the dream when I decide to return later after forgetting most of the contents.

... I could do with some biscuits or bacon now, even if it is nearly 4 A.M.

I had 6 hours. I am very likely going to collect the other two later while I catch up with my trendy and cool Asian (or Australian) friends online. Yes, Gwyn, I consider you 'trendy' and definitely 'cool' Asian.

Am I on the money?

Good thing Harpy Nest has a refuge in audacity and vulgarity.

It's not. That usage was okay (yours was borderline, and you knew it...probably shouldn't do that again, Guile) because of a lot of factors, actually: personal blog, movie quote, section of that movie was not obscene/wildly inappropriate, it wasn't used to hurt/target/attack anyone, it wasn't used in a vulgar context/sexual context, etc.

I have always wondered.... how does this make us officially safe from getting posts deleted?

Blogscape has no topicality. That's one of the reasons why it doesn't give any postcount in a similar fashion to Forum Games. Blogs always were to share ingame progress and communicate with friends, and over time it has evolved into what it is today. It's not a bad thing by any means. The majority of blogscape posters don't post with the intent of using this as their nuclear shelter from the rules, so it would be unfair to forbid this kind of exchange just because some people are irresponsible. :P

However, there are a few of us that are currently on staff or have been on staff. So, maybe that had something to do with it.

Nope, but it is our fault for not communicating about blogscape's nature, and why some things seem more lax than others. That's something we're looking to change for the future, as well as more consistency within the section. All I can do is apologize for what's happened previously and assure you guys we're working on changing that for the better.

I wish I wasn't prejudiced against the staff, most of them are pretty cool a lot of the time.

I try not to be. Randox being Randox last time the Tavern had troubles helped with that.

Randox is pretty cool.

^Don't think so. I have one of the old small ones with a physical keyboard though. I think newer generations may have different software/options for that sort of thing.
