Either you get wiped at the E4 (and therefore lose the whole thing), slowly get your guys picked off (and spend way way way too much time training other crappy backup Zigzagoons), or you somehow manage to beat the whole thing with 0 problems. Playing a game that takes 4 hours to beat? Yeah, I could understand a no-death run game like that. Something that takes a huge time investment though..... You're playing through a familiar game in a different way: mons that you (most likely) would never think twice about using normally and somewhat limited resources means you'll probably end up playing fairly conservatively. You say waste of 30 hours, I say an interesting way to kill 30 hours (Though I want to say my slowest run was still under that). If nothing else, you can get some good stories out of it: I took out Mewtwo in Yellow with a level 50-ish Butterfree and Venusaur (and the former was probably the MVP of the whole run). Grinding to level up mons to beat the E4, then just hitting the restart button afterward, with nothing to show for it except for being able to say "yey, I did it" isn't tangible. Grinding for a really powerful weapon, unlock, or a permanent trophy.... I'm still hesitant but possibly willing. That's why I really don't understand why people train beyond 13m exp in any skill in RS. There is no reward except for the "yey, I did it" thing. The whole "journey = fun part" thing.... X/Y might be one of the best games for a nuzlocke tho because you get the exp share and pokemon amie. With exp share on and max heart on pokemon amie, you get exp something like 6X faster then without it. Plus the whole "He almost died but toughed it out for you" is more intense. And then you lose a pokemon you like on a random encounter and you stop caring. If I pick up pokemon Y I might do a nuzlocke again. I'd probably add a mercy rule about not buying reviving items and being able to use them as long as I use them before the poke centre. Squab unleashes Megiddo! Missed the chance to get Elder Frenzy on two reindeer though :( rip gainz. Grinding for the 150th condenser is taking forever, idk how people can do 150 prisms let alone the 200 all achievement. Ambler Posted March 22, 2014 Share Posted March 22, 2014 I've currently got it set up for fastest CPS overall, I can get wrath cookies, golden cookies AND wrinklers with this setup, and leaving 10x wrinklers is more efficient then having none burst at all if you leave it overnight. Managed to have a lot more drink than I realised I could cope with. :thumbup: (I also remember most of what happened, and judging my my friend's reactions when they woke up, they didn't remember the majority of events, let's just say 11 beer cans taped together to create lances, and jousting with said beer can lances. It's a hack but pretty well made and very fun with a ton of content. It's basically a custom storyline (with new gyms, bosses, and everything) run on the Pokemon Ruby game engine, but includes new moves and all Pokemon from the first 5 generations. I don't think any newer abilities are in the engine, though, so most Pokemon simply just have their ability changed to a preexisting one. For example my Excadrill has Sand Stream and it tends to screw over the rest of my team if they need to be switched in. ~It's Super Effective!
