March 20, 201214 yr The thing about H&A... on the one hand, sometimes people do get over-zealous when pointing out flawed advice or bad idea. The Mods try to crack down on that. On the other hand, sometimes you read something a person said, and it's quite simply true that they are either an idiot or a troll. And a lot of people who post in Q&A only want to hear that their idea is a good idea. And then you get all that fun vs efficiency bullshit. The thing is tho, not only is efficiency quantifiable, but fun is actually quantifiable to a lesser extent. If a lot of people find something fun, it's fun. If not many people find it fun, it's not as fun. If a lot of people find it tedious or boring, it's tedious or boring. It seems like a lot of anger simply comes from people being told they are wrong. People don't like being told they are wrong. Of course, you need to not be an arrogant ass when you point that out, which I've been guilty of before.... Bla. March 20, 201214 yr I don't like going to H&A because all of the questions are either "how do I dungeoneer?" or "How do I raise X skill fastest?" I have never been an elitist at Runescape, and the methods which I used to get 91 herblore would probably get me laughed at in today's times. I just can't keep up with those people who center their lives around Runescape. (not to mention any names, but we ALL know who those people are)
