K, I got a shade over my monitor and its really annoying and i need help getting it back to normal, and i cant afford a new monitor.

Is it lcd?

 

 

 

Sometimes when I shake my display it gets a purple shade on one side, but it ocasionally wares off.

 

 

 

May be the same situation with yours :wink:

Make sure the cables are seciurely in place at both monitor and pc end. Perhaps try another cable. If the problem persists then tuff, new monitor it is...

It might also be some sort of magnetic interference if it's a CRT monitor. See if there's any kind of magnet within two or three feet from your monitor. Two other things you might want to try is degaussing and restoring factory settings. Both can be done with the buttons your monitor should have somewhere along the front or side.

Could be that whitness level thing? *googles* "Color Temperature" they call it. Look in your monitor or gfx card settings.
