Slayer block list

Hey, I'm doing slayer to try and max str, get a decent attack level (about 90) and raise summoning, and am wondering which monsters to block (my list is blank).

My stats are: 83 attack, 85 def, 94 str, 70 pray, 80 summon, 96 mage, 99 range. With Rapier and standard gear ect.

Most importantly I just turned 74 slayer so will soon be switching to kuradal and therefore using the dungeon and changing the list of monsters I could be assigned.

So in essence which tasks should I block to maximise exp (combat>slayer), charms and nice drops :)

Thanks

Block tasks that are slow melee xp but fairly common, such as metal dragons. On the other hand those monsters do have the nicest drops.

Also, some of the ones that don't have good exp rates have good charm rates (i.e wyverns/wfs)

I know this isn't exactly what you had in mind, but when you're doing slayer - you might as well maximize slayer exp.

It's by far the slowest skill (compared to melee/range/magic exp) but there's no other way to train it.

With a fsh + piety, you should be getting close to 100k melee exp per hour on most tasks so it's not such a huge deal if you sacrifice a little bit of melee exp for charms + slayer exp

You'll probably want to block Terror Dogs. Fighting them isn't too bad so long as you don't let yourself get surrounded, but their drops kinda suck.

Don't block terror dogs if you have a slayer ring... You can teleport right to them, the tasks are always small and you can kills 100s in an hour, and they give quite a noticable amount of blue charms.

I have blocked:

Wyvrns

Iron dragons

Steel dragons

That's it. I don't think anything else is worth blocking, but i'm always looking for a way to maximise slayer xp. I havn't done the quest that unlocked warped things, but i hear those are pretty annoying. The reason i didn't block mithril dragons is because you always get about 7-8 and that takes a few minutes to do, very fast slayer points.

Warped tortoise can be annoying - for the fact they are so profitable (and you have to bank each 40ish with a full inv of 10k stuff). Also there are only 2 spawns, if you're "maxed"they won't spawn fast enough (even I at times don't with 10% str pray + super pots + chaotic rapier).

Only thing I fear are bots, am surprised it isn't swarmed yet (they beat green dragons on profit/ hour).

First they came to fishing

and I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing

Then they came to the yews

and I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews

Then they came for the ores

and I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores

Then they came for me

and there was no one left to speak out for me.

I do them for points, as All Is Great suggests. They die very fast for their level, due to low lifepoints. You can easily use protect from melee there if you find you take too much damage. The only catch is that you need a good combat familiar to speed up the task, because you can't cannon them.

Wyverns are good crimson charms, irons and steels do have low slayer xp/hr but they have good profit (as slayer goes) combined with good effigy rates.

I lied actually, i only have wyverns and kalphites blocked but i realised how stupid that was, especially if you're after slayer experience. I quite enjoy killing metal dragons in kuradals dungeon, they're also suprisingly good charms as they drop 2/3 at a time. I'd never unblock wyverns though as i don't want to invest in a DFS right now and they're a pain in the butt to kill even with one.

At 90+ Melees, I'd unblock Wyverns then. As for Kalphites, if you can, just do the quest Do No Evil and Cannon them in the new hideout.

Really? Cause as I recall it was you who was the one cussing me at base. Also, re-read what you just said: one 15 second delay (which is an exaggeration to begin with) ruins floor times? You are beyond ridiculous.
