Sy_Accursed
Vampires quite often have superhuman healing - perhaps the reason normal weapons do not hit is that they only make small scratches which heal instantly. Only silver and blisterwood would cause long-term wounds which means the vyre's mind-reading ability, which is crude and only enough to avoid bigger wounds, would still make them avoid the weapon, just that the small scratches are deadly as well. The flail on the other hand works by partially circumventing the mind-reading power. So you could say the blisterwood is kryptonite, and the flail also but in another way. Good fun this speculation :P. VAMPYRES not vampires Blisterwood is definitely powerful stuff agaisnt vampyres, afterall note how Ranis and Vanseula would not come into the room with the tree itself and Vanseula told you to keep away from her when you just had logs in your inventory as they'd make her burn up.It seems to be implied blisterwood radiates some force or power that negates their premonition and literally burns them on impact. Quyneax
Sy, I was referring to the general concept of blood-sucking undead with pale skin... usually spelled vampires. There's no need to nitpick on the particular spelling in a certain universe. AHappySeeker
It sounds more to me like blisterwood weapons actually have minds of their own and move independently from the wielder, making them even more unpredictable (to vyres) than the flail. Sy_Accursed
But we are talking about runescape in which both vampires and vampyres exist so nitpicking is neccessary Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue

Troacctid
Incidentally, are blisterwood weapons good against them, too? Haven't tried. Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP

Sy_Accursed
As I said, not anymore. Vampires are still Vampires in GWD as is Count Draynor in Vampire Slayer. It is kinda of shocking though a while back they SPECIFICALLY set up in Lore Vampyres = civilised intelligent beings akin to humans (and that count draynor seemed to be mis-labelled in game due to his ties to Drakan and civlised nature) while Vampires = wild animals akin more to wolves etc. Then 1 graphical update and they seem of of retconned the entire idea of Vampires as a separate species.
