So, I'm thinking of getting back into RS again... I dont want to play on my main anymore though; find it really discouraging that when I leave and come back, a whole bunch of updates come into effect and I feel like my character is so behind again.. and it feels like work trying to get him back up to speed.

 

So I'm starting a new character fresh from the start, with the intention of making a mage or range pure to PK in f2p.

 

So, what are the best ways to make money in F2P AND P2P? Any suggestions are appreciated.

I have found that woodcutting is a very good way to make money. You might want to invest some time into woodcutting.

Or rune essence mining, but avoid mining anything else...

You're gonna want to learn how to merch. Farming snapdragons/torstols are good too. There's not much else you can do effectively as a skiller. Also, don't mine ess or cut yews, because they're both terrible money.

The only way youll make any decent cash in f2p is by merching.. otherwise there is bots everywhere.

 

In p2p there are alot of decent methods you could do at level 3 combat, but would require either money or higher skills such as hunter and farming.

And botted methods are still [cabbage]ty money.

for p2p you could pickpocket female HAM members for easy clues and do them. there's a guide about it on these forums aswell
