Dungeoneering players

Hi! I dungeoneer with randoms!

I hate how people play dungeoneering, I think the skill would be much more enjoyable if people would cut some slack on the xp rates and actually CLEARED the dungeon instead of just running through it. Waiting for a keyer to tell "gd here" and find it's 5 rooms full of monsters in between is hell. You take so much unnecessary damage and you're forced you to eat all your food even before you get to the right place. I'm just saying that the current way of maxing xp rates isn't the most fun way to play the game. If pros want to play the game that way, sure, go ahead, but every noob shouldn't try to play with the same method, since it clearly demands some sort of teamwork, teamwork you can't have when you play with randoms.

So people that play with randoms: Take it easy and stop rushing! It won't work.

Top example: Going to the boss room with no food, resulting in the death of every team member x5. Just because rushing is fast and collecting food supposedly is not.

I really dont like the idea of not clearing non gd's unless its necessary. I think you just need to learn how to use your prayer/team mates, safespotting and weaknesses in gd rooms.

Even people on world 117 realise that it's faster to skip non-gds. If you don't want to play this skill out the "fast" way, then just don't team up with randoms.

Even random teams I've played with have some semblance of synergy, in between moving the group gatestone and opening new paths.

Also, you actually *run* between guardian rooms?

In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.

One problem I have is inventory management, I seem to have all the tools and only a few pieces of food. It's crippling.

Just now I had a good dungeon, don't know if it was fast or not on the pro standards, but I enjoyed the pace we were having. It's not all bad.

Rmember, you loose 10% xp per dieing...

However if you can complete the dungeong 4 minutes faster by simply letting everyone die once, it's faster xp / hour.

First they came to fishing

and I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing

Then they came to the yews

and I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews

Then they came for the ores

and I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores

Then they came for me

and there was no one left to speak out for me.

You should join a non-rush clan like DG Squires. Or if you actually want okay exp/h, you could find another clan like No Quitters (93+) or Dung Mates. There are a lot of dungeoneering clans, and you can find most of them on the official clan dungeoneering highscores. In general you can assume that your teammates aren't complete morons.

To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.

I heard you like rants so i put a rant in your rant so now you can rant while you rant.

Everyone that isn't me is awful and should spend some time and effort not being awful and being more like me.

... I wish i was being cute, but that is really how i feel. I've never been on a team where i didn't feel like i did most of the work and wasn't waiting on others to do vital things (Not while they do oher useful things, that would be fine, while they afk, or make a prom hatchet so they can cut those grave trees to make a longbow for the boss we havn't reached that may or may not need range. THOSE guys.)

I mainly dungeon with my friends now, and they're great people and for the most part a lot better than randoms, but they're still bloody useless.

Oh and OP, i disagree with everything you have said. If i'm dungeoning with randoms i don't want to hear about their epic pk trip while we mine gorg ore so we all have some gauntlets to keep our hands warm, i want to finish the dungeon so i can move onto something more enjoyable, like watching paint dry. The reason random teams don't work like the 'pros' is because people like you are holding them back with your 'Oh i know this isn't the most efficient thing to do but...' NO. Just help me clear this GD so we can get on with our lives.

(I do dungeon for fun sometimes, but theres a time and a place, don't hold the people in 117 looking for fast experience/tokens back.)

There's a reason keyers call "gtgd". It means TELEPORT to the guardian door. Not run through rooms to the gd like a madman.

Of course, if there's a path to be run, that has higher priority than clearing the gd. Only 1-2 people are needed per gd really...
