Maging Tasks

Rename RSN to "Singh098" and Use magic on every task :P

The first task that came to my mind was Ice Strykewyrms, but as you're only 90 mage (95 required for fire surge) this won't be any help. Ermmm... Maybe you should really use magic on every task, lol. Or Atleast get 95 mage by high alching or superheating, because fire surge is pretty useful.

Ice Strykes, Greater Demons, Black Demons, Gargoyles, Living Rock Creatures.

Really? Cause as I recall it was you who was the one cussing me at base. Also, re-read what you just said: one 15 second delay (which is an exaggeration to begin with) ruins floor times? You are beyond ridiculous.

Looking at your herblore level I'm assuming you have overloads/extreme magics to spare, so you could use those to boost to casting fire surge once you get 93 slayer (assuming you have fire cape). Storm of armadyl is best damage though expensive. I take it you know that you'll be sacrificing some killspeed for the magic experience?

With overloads, you can boost to surge, but pps is better on all but ice strykes. Meanwhile, with pps you can mage your entire regular task list.

Edit: Forgot that pps is dreadful mage xp. For mage xp I'd recommend Storm of Armadyl, which slightly favours Kuradal tasks as it means higher primary dps and lower cannon dps, e.g. cannon is relatively less xp/hr increase in slayer. But that shouldn't affect your task list too much other than not cannoning dbs.

I would say its easier just to get 99 magic while training other skills like LRC mining and superheating or low alch barbarian fishing. It simply does not make sense economically to use magic while slaying, just continue with meelee and tasks will be a lot faster/cheaper. There will be plenty of opportunities to train magic outside slayer.

Actually, since Storm of Armadyl offers great magic xp/hr and increases slayer xp/hr as well, it's very economical to use it. At current prices & 90 magic with arcane stream, full slayer helmet, overload and Armadyl battlestaff, the spell hits between 100 and 260 base, which is then multiplied by about 1,83 to get 183-475, an average hit of ~329 before fero, equal to rapier in damage output but at range. The base xp is 70, the average xp for damage is about 65*accuracy, making the average xp per spell about 120, which works out to some 150k xp/hr (1250 casts, 1500 max) at 90 magic before fero. At 98 magic that has increased to 140-300 base for an average hit of 400, some 130-140 xp per cast, for a total of 170k xp/hr. The cost is big, ~1400 gp for one cast, but at 11-12 gp/xp + the increased slayer speed makes it worth it, in my opinion. On abyssals (if you do them) and metals it's also significantly more accurate for example.

Don't use elemental spells (save for ice strykewyrm) if you have completed Ritual Of The Mahjarrat. Storm of Armadyl is a lot more powerful (it's more than 90% better DPS than Fire Surge) ánd more cost efficient - you're paying 5,06 gp per damage with Fire Surge and 3,65 gp per damage with Storm of Armadyl.

I wouldn't bother with extreme mages. The boost drops too fast to be very useful. Use overloads instead. Or, get 92 Summoning and use a wolpertinger.

You could also use a polypore staff. It does good DPS (comparable to Melee on a lot of tasks), it's cheap but it's very low XP (only around 75k Magic xp per hour).

Assuming you're using overloads, Armadyl battlestaff, Slayer helm and arcane stream necklace and maging them in Kuradal's dungeon, you're looking at an average hit of around 430. Each dragon should take around 4 - 5 casts, so you'll need around 300 - 350 Armadyl runes.

Except that at 90 magic the average hit will be some 50 lower, so adjust accordingly.

Right. At 97 Magic (overloaded) you'll be looking at an average hit of around 374. 5 - 6 casts on average.

I just got an iron dragon task myself (76 of them) and it took 5,4 casts on average to kill one dragon. 19 minutes 45 seconds to complete the task. 415 runes were used in total. Also got 6,517 gp loot per dragon on average whereas 5,4 casts cost 8,100 gp so I lost 1,583 gp per dragon, or a 120k loss overall (ignoring the overload cost).
