A couple of money-related Questions

Dusk Souls

Recommended Posts

First Question: Are Dragon Bones crashing? I put some bones for sale in the GE at median price (round 4.5 k last I checked) and after almost a week and a half I haven't been able to sell them. Is there something I a missing or what?

Second Question: What kind of moneymaking I can do with my current stats (see sig)? I was considering Green Dragon hunting in the chaos tunnels but I think I will loose more money than what I could make from them (mostly on P-pots and on food).

I don't think green dragons would be that good with a rune scimmy...

Anyway, welcome to mems! You should begin farming as soon as possible. Do herb runs (and full allotment until you get juju pots, if you want) in between quests, slayer tasks, dung floors, etc. It's some of the best skilling profit when you get into the higher levels.

You should look into MTK and various dailies as well, which adds up pretty quick; it's not hard to make 1m/day.

You should train combat via slayer, slowing working on 70/95 prayer, 52/68/88/96 summoning, 81/85/92 herblore. You'll still profit somewhat with slayer, though not as much as camping would bring. I honestly have no idea what is a good monster to camp at your level.

Edit: Yes, dragon bones appear to be taking a pretty good dip atm.. they'll most likely rebound pretty soon. It's also happening to a few other raw materials-- notably herbs, which are rebounding again.

Working on max and completionist capes.

The problem I have with both herblore and summoning is that my current cash pile is ridiculous low, 410K though I guess I could use those Dragon Bones for prayer...I could just ecto those bones and (according to the Tip.it calculator) get 48 prayer.

I would consider questing, because as the quest chains progress you keep setting yourself a goals that are pretty achievable, plus you get good training equipment like d scim and niet helm and some training areas you wouldn't have otherwise. Don't really worry about making lots of money at this point, just start out skills and train them for a bit until you get bored; enjoy them now when you don't have to grind much to get a few levels.

If you put it that way questing does sounds like the best option for the time being... ah it is just that there are so many things I want to do, that I end up doing nothing :?

Oh yes, definitely start questing. It's by far the most effective way to develop your account, and as luck would have it, it'll also help familiarize you with a wide range of members' content.

Start by setting the quest list to "Filter", and then just go down the list and do all the quests you can.

I'd work on the quick first total levels as well, some through quests (farming, summoning) and others through simply training. 1-40 in each stat takes very little time and it gives you a good base for a bunch of quests, plus looking that much nicer on the hiscores .
